General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: ketoprofen - 2,5 g.
Excipients: ethanol of 96%, глицерол, carboxypolymethylene, diethanol amide,
methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, the water purified.
Description:
Homogeneous transparent colourless gel. Gel has to be free from clots and
it is agglomerate and is easy to be distributed on a glass plate.

Pharmacological properties:

FLEKSEN possesses local anesthetic, antiinflammatory and antiedematous action. In the form of gel provides local medical effect concerning the affected joints, sinews, ligaments and muscles. At a joint syndrome causes weakening of joint pains at rest and at the movement, reduction of morning constraint and a swelling of joints.

Pharmacokinetics. At cutaneous application it is soaked up slowly. Practically does not kumulirut in an organism. Bioavailability of gel – about 5%.

Indications to use:

- Musculoskeletal system diseases: a pseudorheumatism, the psoriasis arthritis ankylosing a spondylarthritis, an osteoarthrosis of peripheral joints and a backbone, rheumatic defeats of soft tissues.
- Muscular pains of a rheumatic and not rheumatic origin.
- Traumatic injuries of joints and soft tissues without damage of integuments.

Route of administration and doses:

OUTWARDLY! To adults and children 12 years a small amount of gel (4-5 cm) are more senior apply with a thin layer on skin over the center of an inflammation and slightly rub 2-3 times a day. Duration of a course of treatment should not exceed 10 days without consultation of the doctor.

Features of use:

It is necessary to avoid hit of gel on the damaged surface of skin, open wounds, eyes and other mucous membranes. In order to avoid manifestations of hypersensitivity and photosensitivity, it is recommended to avoid impact on skin of sunshine, including a sunbed, during a course of treatment also two weeks after treatment. Drug contains ethanol, it it is necessary to consider at use it at athletes. At use of drug in high doses at a long course of treatment
emergence of system side effects is possible.

Side effects:

At use of drug FLEKSEN allergic reactions from skin can be observed: a dermahemia, an itch, urticaria, contact eczema, a photosensitization, it is very rare – exfoliative dermatitis, Stephens-Johnson's syndrome and a toxic epidermal necrolysis; anaphylactic reactions, bronkhoobstruktivny syndrome. At emergence of any side effects it is necessary to stop use of drug and to see a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is necessary to consult with the doctor before drug use if you are under observation of the doctor or you apply other NPVP. Ketoprofen can strengthen effect of the drugs causing a photosensitization. Clinically significant interaction with other medicines is not described.

Contraindications:

· individual hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other components of drug, acetylsalicylic acid;
· the instruction in the anamnesis on the bronchospasm, urticaria or rhinitis caused by reception of acetylsalicylic acid or other NPVP;
· digestive tract diseases in an aggravation phase;
· the expressed renal failures and a liver; · disturbances from blood (a leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, disturbances of system of a blood coagulation);
· pregnancy (III trimester) and lactation period;
· children's age (up to 6 years);
· disturbance of integrity of integuments, the becoming wet dermatosis, eczema.
With care:
It is necessary to consult with the doctor if at you: abnormal liver functions and/or kidneys, gastrointestinal diseases in the anamnesis; bronchial asthma, rhinitis, small tortoiseshell, polyps mucous nose; hypertensia and/or cardiovascular diseases, advanced age, children's age up to 12 years, I and II trimesters of pregnancy.

Overdose:

Extremely low system absorption of active components of drug at external use makes overdose almost impossible. The possibility of overdose at accidental use in large amounts of drug is not excluded.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Drug should not be used after a period of validity!

Gel for external use of 2,5%. On 30 g or 50 g in the aluminum tuba having a protective membrane of the first opening, corked by the polyethylene screwing-up cap. A tuba together with the application instruction in a cardboard pack.
