Makrovit

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 0,88 mg of Retinolum palmitate synthetic (vitamin A) (1,7 million ME/g); 0,10 mg колекальциферол concentrate, oil form (1 million ME/g) (D3 vitamin); 80 mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C); 0,5 mg of thiamin mononitrate  (B1 vitamin); 0,6 mg Riboflavinum (B2 vitamin); 1,0 mg of a pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6 vitamin); 2,0 mg cyanocobalamine of 0,1% in Mannitolum (E421) (B12 vitamin); 5,0 mg niacinamide  (RR vitamin); 5,0 mg of calcium pantothenate (B5 vitamin); 5,0 mg of α-tocopherol acetate (vitamin E).

Excipients: lactoses monohydrate, dextrose liquid (dry matter), sorbitol, fragrance  tangerine 61105, fragrance peach 78123-33, polysorbate 80, глицерол, castor oil, magnesium stearate, dye sunset yellow (E110), titanium dioxide (Е 171), povidone, wax emulsion, penogasitel1510, sucrose.

Complex polyvitaminic drug.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Макровит® contains a complex of vitamins which participate in numerous biochemical processes of an organism. Group B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, pantothenic acid and niacinamide) participate in metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, exchange of erythrocytes and synthesis of neurotransmitters. Vitamin A is necessary for biosynthesis of a light-sensitive pigment of a retina of an eye. Vitamin D regulates digestion of calcium.

Vitamin C promotes absorption of iron and participates in many oxidation-reduction processes in an organism.

Vitamin E is the physiological antioxidant protecting membranes of cells from damage and keeps their functional activity.

Indications to use:

The increased need for vitamins:

• at the raised exercise and/or intellectual stresses;
• during intensive sports activities;
• at irregular and unbalanced food, including: at observance of diets, in the period of a seasonal lack of fresh vegetables and fruit, and also against the background of reduced appetite at people of advanced age, at the people suffering from nicotine and alcohol addiction;
• during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, after food; to hold in a mouth before full dissolution or to chew.

Children aged from 6 up to 10 years: on 1 tablet, coated, 1 or 2 once a day after food. Adults and children are aged more senior than 10 years: on 1 tablet, coated, 2 - 3 once a day after food.

Course of administration of drug of 20 - 30 days. A repeated course according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Features of use:

Administration of drug at children up to 14 years only according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Not to exceed the recommended drug doses.

Patients with a diabetes mellitus - can accept the drug Makrovit®, but it is necessary to consider that 1 tablet, coated, contains: 0,61 g of sucrose and 0,15 g of glucose, and daily dose: 0,61 g - 1,8 g of sucrose and 0,15 g-0,45 g of glucose.

Макровит® contains E 110 azoic dye which can cause hypersensitivity reaction, with an asthmatic component. Similar reactions are more often noted at patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.

Coloring of urine in yellow color is possible – absolutely harmlessly and is explained by existence in Riboflavinum drug.

Glitserol can cause a headache, and also gastrointestinal dyspepsia. Makrovit contains polyol which in certain cases can cause diarrhea. Drug contains 187 mg of lactose, 614 mg of sucrose, 150 mg of glucose and 131 mg of sorbitol therefore drug is not recommended to children with inborn intolerance of glucose and fructose, with sprues of a glucose/galactose and deficit of sucrose/isomaltose.

At pregnancy and during breastfeeding administration of drug   of Makrovit® only according to the recommendation of the doctor.

About adverse influence of Makrovita® on ability to drive the car and work with mechanisms it was not reported.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions. Prolonged use of high doses of drug can lead to a hypervitaminosis of A and D.

High doses of a glitserol can cause a headache, disturbances from digestive tract (diarrhea).

In case of allergic reactions, it is necessary to stop administration of drug and to consult  with the doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

The concomitant use with other polyvitaminic complexes in order to avoid overdose is not recommended.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, a hypervitaminosis  of A and D. 

Children's age up to 6 years.

Drug should not be accepted to patients with a sprue of a glucose/galactose or deficit of lactose, sucrose of isomaltose and inborn intolerance of fructose.

Overdose:

Long reception of very high doses can lead to a hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D, however the probability of overdose of the tablets Makrovit® is minimum.

Storage conditions:

In the dry and protected from light place, at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children
