General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredients: 500 mg of paracetamol, 25 mg of pheniramine of a maleate, 10 mg of Phenylephrinum of a hydrochloride, 200 mg of ascorbic acid in 1 bag.
Excipients: sucrose, citric acid, silicon dioxide colloid, sodium citrate, dye tartrazine, lemon essence.
Complex drug for effective treatment of symptoms of flu, a SARS and other catarrhal diseases.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. Drug is the balanced combination of four components for
weakened symptoms of ordinary cold, flu and other infections of an upper respiratory path, such as cough, heat, catarral phenomena.
Paracetamol: has analgetic, febrifugal and weak antiinflammatory actions. The action mechanism connected with inhibition of synthesis of prostaglandins and the prevailing influence on the center of thermal control in a hypothalamus.
Pheniramine a maleate - antiallergic drug, a blocker histamine H1 receptors. Reduces a nose congestion, mucifying from the nasal courses, dacryagogue, sneezing.
Phenylephrinum a hydrochloride - sympathomimetic aminophylline that causes narrowing of blood vessels by stimulation of the a-adrenergic receptors located on post-capillary vessels and cavernous and venous sine of a mucous membrane of a nose. These receptors are stimulated directly by linkng with Phenylephrinum or way of linkng with Norepinephrinum which is released from a sympathomimetic nerve in response to action of Phenylephrinum. Narrowing of blood vessels is reduced by a krovenapolneniya of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx and causes, thus, long-term decrease it hypostasis. Exerts insignificant the stimulating impact on TsNS.
Vitamin C is water-soluble vitamin, requirement in which grows at fever and flu. Works as antioxidant and a weak immunostimulator.
Indications to use:
Treatment of symptoms of cold and flu, rhinitis of an allergic origin, inflammation of a mucous membrane of a nose, headache, fever of a different origin.
Route of administration and doses:
Drug should be accepted having dissolved contents to one bag in one glass of hot water.
Adults: on 1 bag 3 - 4 times a day or for the recommendation of the doctor.
Children are more senior than 10 years: on 1 bag 3 - 4 times a day.
Children of 6 - 10 years: on the 12th bag 3 - 4 times a day.
The maximum term of the use – 5 days.
Features of use:
Carefully apply to treatment of patients with an abnormal liver function, a digestive tract and kidneys, closed-angle glaucoma, a prostatauxe, epilepsy, an ischuria, a serious cardiovascular illness, a diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma. For sensitive patients, sleeplessness, dizziness, tachycardia, a tremor or cardiac arrhythmia can entail small doses. In case of the above-stated symptoms to stop drug use.
During use of drug it is necessary to avoid control of vehicles, works with mechanisms and other potentially unsafe types of activity.
During use of drug it is impossible to take alcohol!
Pregnancy and lactation. Use of drug during pregnancy is possible only when the predicted advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit. It is desirable to abstain from use of drug during a lactation or it is necessary to resolve an issue about feeding suspension by a breast (drug is capable to get into breast milk).
It is not recommended for children up to 6 years.
Through existence antihistaminic (pheniramine a maleate) a component, it is necessary to avoid alcohol intake or sedative drugs (especially barbiturates) which increase sedative effect of antihistamine, during treatment.
Side effects:
Side effects, ordinary, moderate. In isolated cases, as a rule owing to long use of large doses, hematologic reactions, including thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia, a pancytopenia, a neutropenia and an agranulocytosis can be observed. The irritation of skin and other hypersensitivity reactions can also take place.
The side effects caused by Phenylephrinum – irritability, sleeplessness, fatigue, a headache, nausea, irritations of a stomach are possible. These reactions is not frequent, their emergence needs to a stop drug use. The delay of urination can arise at patients with a prostatauxe.
The most widespread side effect of pheniramine – drowsiness.
Interaction with other medicines:
Raised with Phenylephrinum: increase in pressure cannot be applied with other sympathomimetic drugs or with MAO because of risk.
Pheniramine strengthens action of suppressors of the central nervous system (hypnosis, anesthetics). Caffeine can exponentiate the anesthetizing effect of paracetamol.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to drug components, glaucoma, patients who use MAO drugs and have disturbance of a liver.
Overdose:
Symptoms: the sleep disorder, an itch, rashes, nausea, anorexia, an urination delay, fatigue, a tremor, strengthening of a potovydeleniye is possible. In case of overdose of paracetamol there can be a gepatichesky cytolysis, the dose for children – 150 mg/kg of weight, for adults – 10 g is most admissible.
Treatment: symptomatic therapy. Gastric lavage, introductions of an antidote (N-to Acetylcysteinum), hospitalization.
Storage conditions:
To store at the room temperature (15-25 °C) in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
