Pantenol-ratiofarm

General characteristics. Structure:

100 g of ointment contain:
Active agent: декспантенол 5,0 g.
Excipients: potassium sorbate of 0,15 g, lanolin alcohol of 20,00 g, lanolin of 10,00 g, paraffin of soft white 10,00 g, изооктадеканолдиглицеролсукцинат 3,00 g, triglycerides of an average chain of 4,00 g, sodium citrate of 0,30 g, citric acid monohydrate of 0,20 g, the water purified 47,35 g.

Description
From white till slightly yellowish color homogeneous ointment with a characteristic smell of lanolin.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Dekspantenol passes in an organism into pantothenic acid (B5 vitamin) which is a component of coenzyme A and participates in carbohydrate and a lipometabolism: acetylation processes, in synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrines.

Dekspantenol renders the regenerating, metabolic and weak antiinflammatory action (stimulates regeneration of skin, normalizes cellular metabolism and increases durability of collagenic fibers).

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration it is quickly absorbed by skin and turns into pantothenic acid, contacts proteins of plasma (mainly with beta globulin and albumine). Pantothenic acid is not exposed in an organism to metabolism and is removed in not changed look.

Indications to use:

• xeroderma;
• disturbance of integrity of integuments: grazes, burns (including, solar);
• dermatitis, trophic ulcers;
• the aseptic postoperative wounds which are badly getting accustomed skin transplants;
• care of skin of babies (intertrigo).

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. Drug apply with a thin layer on affected areas of skin one or several times a day. At care of a skin intertrigo at babies putting ointment at each change of a diaper is possible. Duration of treatment depends on features of a course of a disease and weight of a state.

Features of use:

At use of drug in genital or proctal areas it must be kept in mind that because of availability of vaseline, the contact of drug with condom from latex increases risk of a rupture of condom because of decrease in durability and, respectively, there is a risk of emergence of pregnancy when using such contraception.

Influence on ability to manage vehicles and other mechanisms
 Use of the drug Pantenol-ratiofarm does not exert impact on ability to manage vehicles and other mechanisms.

Side effects:

Skin allergic reactions, reddenings, skin inflammations are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

There are no data on interaction of drug with other medicines.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Use during pregnancy and during feeding by a breast
It is possible to use the drug Pantenol-ratiofarm at pregnancy and during feeding by a breast.

Overdose:

Even at accidental administration of drug in the phenomenon of intoxication it was not observed.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children! PERIOD OF VALIDITY 3 years. After opening of a tuba drug is suitable for use during 1 year. Not to apply after expiry date.

Ointment for external use of 5%.

On 35 g of drug in the aluminum tubas tightened aluminum foil for control of the first opening with the screwed polymeric cover. 1 tuba together with the application instruction is placed in a cardboard pack.
