General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: декспантенол 50 mg

Excipients: глицерол, vaseline, lanolin, liquid paraffin, paraffin solid, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, water.

Pharmacological properties:

Dekspantenol - derivative pantothenic acid. Dekspantenol passes in an organism into pantothenic acid which is a component of a coenzyme And yes participates in acetylation processes, in synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrines.
Besides, takes part practically in all metabolic processes (a cycle of tricarboxylic acids, exchange of carbohydrates, fats and fatty acids, phospholipids, proteins), stimulates regeneration of skin, mucous membranes, normalizes cellular metabolism, accelerates a mitosis and increases durability of collagenic fibers. Renders the regenerating, metabolic and weak antiinflammatory action.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration it is quickly absorbed by skin and turns into pantothenic acid, contacts proteins of plasma (mainly, beta globulin and albumine). Concentration in blood - 0.5-1 mg/l, in blood serum - 100 mkg/l. Pantothenic acid is not exposed in an organism to metabolism (except inclusion in Ko-and), is removed in not changed look.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. For treatment of wounds, an intertrigo, abscesses, decubituses, dermatitis, for care of a breast, babies - 5% apply ointment of 2-3 times/days on the struck surface with a thin layer and slightly rub depending on the indication; on area of a papilla of the breast ointment is imposed in the form of a compress after each feeding by a breast.

Dekspantenol apply to babies on a back, buttocks and inguinal area after each change of linen or a hydrotherapeutic procedure.

Features of use:

Treatment of badly beginning to live skin transplants and trophic ulcers has to be carried out under observation of the attending physician.
Not to apply on the becoming wet wounds.

Side effects:

Emergence of allergic reactions is possible, at their emergence to stop drug use.
