Анауран®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 1 000 000 ME of polymyxin B of sulfate, 0,5 g of Neomycinum of sulfate (375000 ME is equivalent), 4 g of lidocaine of a hydrochloride.

Excipients: a benzalkoniya chloride, propylene glycol, глицерол, the water purified.

The combined  medicine for topical administration having antibacterial and mestnoanesteziruyushchy effect.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Neomycinum sulfate - the aminoglikozidny antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity, works bakteritsidno concerning gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae) and gram-negative (Escherichia coll, Shigella dysenteria spp., Shigella flexneri spp., Shigella boydii spp., Shigella sonnei spp., Proteus spp.) microorganisms; concerning Streptococcus spp. - малоактивен.

Polymyxin B - a polypeptide antibiotic. It is active concerning gram-negative microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria spp., Shigella flexneri spp., Shigella boydii spp., Shigella sonnei spp., Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi; Pseudomonas aeruginosa. He is active concerning Proteus spp., Mycobacterium spp., gram-positive cocci, mushrooms. Has weak local irritative effect.

Lidocaine - mestnoanesteziruyushchy means, quickly eliminates pain and an itch.

Pharmacokinetics. Pharmacokinetic researches were not conducted since drug is intended for topical administration and system effects are improbable.

Indications to use:

Acute and chronic outside otitis, average acute otitis at a stage before perforation, chronic exudative average otitis; postoperative purulent complications after a radical mastoidektomiya, a tympanoplasty, an antrotomy, windowing.

Route of administration and doses:

Locally, in outside acoustical pass by means of a special pipette. After an instillation several minutes to hold the head inclined.

Adult: on 4-5 drops 2-4 times a day, to children: on 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day depending on disease severity. The course of treatment should not exceed 7 days.

Features of use:

Anauran is applied only at ear diseases. At heavy and persistent infections topical treatment needs to be added with system use of antibiotics.

Prolonged use of Anauran, as well as other antibiotics, can lead to development of superinfection by microorganisms, resistant to drug.

Side effects:

Local allergic reactions are possible: a hyperemia, an itch and a peeling of skin of outside acoustical pass which disappear without treatment, after drug withdrawal.

System effects are improbable owing to low doses of the used drug.

However, at prolonged treatment emergence of system effects, in particular, of ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity owing to absorption of Neomycinum is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is incompatible with Monomycinum, streptomycin, gentamycin, amikacin, netilmitsiny (strengthening of ototoksichesky action of above-mentioned antibiotics is possible).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to one of drug components. During pregnancy and a lactation, and also at children till 1 year drug should be used only in urgent cases and under control of the doctor.

Overdose:

In literature overdose cases are not described.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. To store in the places unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging.

Packaging:

Drops are ear. On 25 ml in a bottle of dark glass with a cover dropper from polyethylene with control of the first opening. On one bottle with the instruction on a medical use place in a pack cardboard.
