General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: methyloxadiazol color butylaminohydroxypropoxyphenoxymethyl a hydrochloride (проксодолол) - 0,01 g or 0,04g;
Excipients: lactose (sugar milk), potato starch, povidone, calcium stearate.
Pharmacological properties:
Non-selective alpha and beta adrenoblocker; has hypotensive, anti-anginal and antiarrhytmic effect (treats antiaritmika of the II class), slows down heart rate, expands vessels, reduces the general peripheric vascular resistance and reduces the minute volume of blood.
Indications to use:
- arterial hypertension;
- prevention of attacks of stenocardia;
- chronic heart failure (as a part of a combination therapy).
Route of administration and doses:
To accept inside, washing down with a small amount of water, 3 times a day. Arterial hypertension and coronary heart disease. The average daily dose of drug makes 80-120 mg, the maximum daily dose - 240 mg.
Treatment it is necessary to begin with a dose 30 mg a day (on 1 tablet of 10 mg 3 times a day). At good tolerance of drug in 2-3 days the dose is increased to 60-80 mg the day divided into 3 receptions. At insufficiency of therapeutic effect, it is necessary to increase a dose to 100-120 mg a day. Chronic heart failure the Average daily dose of drug makes 45-60 mg.
The initial daily dose makes 15 mg (on 5 mg (1/2 tablets on 10 mg 3 times a day), at good tolerance the dose is increased by 10-15 mg every 2-3 day, before achievement of a dose of 45-60 mg a day.
Features of use:
The persons using contact lenses have to remember a possibility of reduction of amount of the lacrimal liquid.
Side effects:
Bradycardia, excessive lowering of arterial pressure, cold snap of extremities, blockade of legs of a ventriculonector, AV blockade; bronchospasm; increase in contractility of a myometrium; dryness in a mouth, a gastralgia, nausea; a headache, dizziness, an adynamy, increased fatigue, the increased sweating, a fever; allergic reactions (local or generalized dieback, small tortoiseshell).
Interaction with other medicines:
Alpha and beta adrenoblockers strengthen hypotensive action.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to drug, bradycardia, atrioventricular (AV) blockade of the II-III Art., chronic heart failure in a decompensation stage, cardiogenic shock, arterial hypotension, a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, pregnancy, the lactation period, age up to 18 years (efficiency and safety are not studied), a lactose intolerance.
With care: atrioventricular (AV) blockade of the I degree, peptic ulcer of a stomach and 12-perstny gut, diabetes mellitus of 1 type (danger of masking of hypoglycemic states).
Overdose:
Symptoms: strengthening of expressiveness of side effects.
Treatment: symptomatic.
