General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: 1 g of ointment contains - levomycetinum (chloramphenicol) – 7,5 mg, methyluracil – 40,0 mg; excipients: poly(ethylene oxide) 400, poly(ethylene oxide) of 1500.1 g of ointment contains - levomycetinum (chloramphenicol) – 7,5 mg, methyluracil – 40,0 mg;
excipients: poly(ethylene oxide) 400, poly(ethylene oxide) 1500.
Pharmacological properties:
Drug has antiinflammatory and antimicrobic effect. It is active rather gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (staphylococcus, pyocyanic and intestinal sticks). At use of ointment process of cellular regeneration accelerates, cellular and humoral factors of immunity are stimulated, ointment renders assistance to bystry healing of wounds.
Indications to use:
The purulent wounds infected with the mixed microbic flora, including staphylococcus, pyocyanic and intestinal sticks.
Route of administration and doses:
Impregnate with ointment sterile gauze napkins with which fill a wound. Administration of ointment in purulent emptiness through a catheter by means of the syringe is possible. Bandagings carry out, daily, before full clarification of a wound from is purulent - necrotic masses.
Side effects:
Development of allergic reactions (skin rashes, dermatitis, irritation of skin) and other reactions connected with individual intolerance of components of drug is possible. In these cases use of ointment should be stopped.
Contraindications:
Individual hypersensitivity to drug components, psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections of skin.
