Synthomycin linimentum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: synthomycin – 1 g and a basis (castor oil, emulsifier No. 1, sorbic acid, sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose the cleared (blanoza)).

100 g of Synthomycin of linimentum of 5% contain: synthomycin – 5 g and a basis (castor oil, emulsifier No. 1, sorbic acid, sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose the cleared (blanoza)).

100 g of Synthomycin of linimentum of 10% contain: synthomycin – 10 g and a basis (castor oil, emulsifier No. 1, sorbic acid, sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose the cleared (blanoza)).

Pharmacological properties:

Drug contains the bacteriostatic antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity breaking process of synthesis of protein in a microbic cell. It is effective concerning many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, causative agents of purulent infections.

It is active concerning strains of the bacteria steady against penicillin, tetracycline, streptocides. Stability of microorganisms develops slowly. Pharmacokinetics: degree of systemic action after use of drug on skin is unknown.

Indications to use:

Purulent wounds, pyoinflammatory diseases of skin, furuncles, 2-3 degrees, nipple cracks at the feeding women are long not healing trophic ulcers, burns.

Route of administration and doses:

Impregnate with linimentum gauze tampons or drug inflict directly on area defeats or a wound. From above apply a usual bandage, it is possible with parchment or compresseal paper. Bandagings make depending on indications in 1-3 days, sometimes in 4-5 days.

Side effects:

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of drug, oppression kostno – a brain hemopoiesis, an acute intermittent porphyria, deficit glucose - 6 - fosfatdegidrogenaza, a liver and/or renal failure, skin diseases (psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections). With care apply at pregnancy, in the period of a neonatality (to 4 weeks) and early children's age.
