Ichthyolum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent – ихтаммол 2,50g, 5,00g.

Excipients: vaseline medical, lanolin anhydrous.

Pharmacological properties:

Anti-inflammatory drug, has mestnoanalgeziruyushchy, antiseptic, keratoplastichesky action.

At direct action on skin and mucous causes the weak irritation of sensitive nerve terminations which is replaced by decrease in their sensitivity that leads to emergence of the reflexes changing a trophicity of fabrics. Causes a denaturation of proteinaceous molecules. It is soaked up by skin and mucous membranes. Favorably influences area of an inflammation of skin and hypodermics (especially at a combination to alcohol): regulates a vascular tone, recovers blood circulation, improves a metabolism.

Indications to use:

- skin infections;

- burns;

- erysipelatous inflammation;

- eczema;

- furunculosis;

- neuralgia, arthritis.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used outwardly (locally). Ointment is applied on affected areas a thin layer under a bandage or an open way. The bandage is changed by 1-2 times a day. Duration of treatment depends on character and the course of a disease, is defined by the doctor.

Features of use:

At emergence of allergic reactions use of drug is stopped and carry out the desensibilizing therapy.

Use during pregnancy and a lactation on doctor's orders is possible.

Does not influence ability to manage motor transport or potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Side effects:

Rash, reddening.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is incompatible in solutions with iodide salts, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals.

Hypersensitivity to drug.
