Ichthyolum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,2 g of Ichthyolum (ikhtammol).

Excipients (basis): fat firm (витепсол W35) – before receiving suppository weight from 1,17 g to 1,29 g.

Anti-inflammatory drug, has mestnoobezbolivayushchy, antiseptic, keratoplastichesky action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Anti-inflammatory drug, has mestnoobezbolivayushchy, antiseptic, keratoplastichesky action. At direct action on mucous causes the weak irritation of sensitive nerve terminations which is replaced by decrease in their sensitivity.

Causes a denaturation of proteinaceous molecules. Favorably influences area of an inflammation of mucous: regulates a vascular tone, recovers peripheric circulation

Indications to use:

In gynecology – an endometritis, a salpingo-oophoritis; in urology – chronic nonspecific prostatitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Rektalno, 1-2 suppositories a day, after a cleansing enema or spontaneous bowel emptying.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, burning sensations in the field of an anus.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 12-15 °C. In the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging
