General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: пиритион zinc (in terms of 100% substance) - 0,1 g (0,2%);
excipients: sodium lauryl sulfate, isopropyl myristate, silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil), декспантенол (D-panthenol), polysorbate 80 (twin 80), ethanol (the alcohol rectified), тетрафторэтан (freon 134a).

Description. Oily liquid from white till light yellow color with a specific smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Pirition zinc has antiinflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antibacterial activity of a pirition of zinc is shown concerning a number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.). Pirition zinc reduces the ATP intracellular level, promotes depolarization of cellular membranes, causing death of mushrooms and bacteria. Antifungal activity is especially expressed at action on Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare causing an inflammation and an excess peeling at dandruff, seborrheal dermatitis, psoriasis and other diseases of skin. The mechanism of antiinflammatory action is not studied.

Pharmacokinetics. System absorption insignificant. Drug is found in blood in trace quantities.

Indications to use:

• psoriasis
• atopic dermatitis (eczema, neurodermatitis)
• seborrheal dermatitis

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is intended for external use.

Apply at adults and children since 1. To spray drug on an affected area of skin from distance about 15 cm during 3 sec., covering at the same time the surface equal on the area of a palm (that is equivalent to an expense of 1 ml of drug). The affected area is processed by 2-3 times a day before achievement of clinical effect. For processing drug of a pilar part of the head applies an additional nozzle. It is desirable to continue use of drug within one week after disappearance of symptoms.

Treatment duration at:

• psoriasis 1-1,5 months, repeated courses - at emergence of signs of an aggravation;
• atopic dermatitis 3-4 weeks;
• seborrheal dermatitis 2 weeks.

Features of use:

When spraying to hold a cylinder vertically.

Side effects:

Drug is usually well transferred. Allergic reactions are sometimes noted.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant interaction of a pirition of zinc with other medicines is not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, children's age till 1 year.

Overdose:

So far about cases of overdose of a pirition of zinc it was not reported.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature from 4 to 30 °C in the place, unavailable to children.

Period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after the date specified on packaging.

Aerosol for external use of 0,2%.

On 58 g in the aluminum aerosol cans or aluminum jars for aerosols supplied with valves of continuous action and protective caps.

The cylinder (bank) with the sprayer for external use, an additional nozzle and the application instruction is placed in a pack from a cardboard.
