Hematoma (from other - Greek αἷμα — blood + Uma) — a type of bruises, limited accumulation of blood at the closed and open damages of bodies and fabrics with a rupture (wound) of vessels; at the same time the cavity containing liquid or the turned blood is formed.
Classify a hematoma depending on localization (subserous, subdural, intramuscular, etc.), the relations to a blood vessel gleam (which is pulsing, not pulsing), the conditions of the streamed blood (which was curtailed, infected, suppurated). The main symptoms of the hematoma located in hypodermic cellulose and muscles are: pain, existence of a limited swelling, dysfunction of the corresponding muscles, skin discoloration from lilac-red to flavovirent, increase in local temperature is frequent. Treatment of the Hematoma:
Treatment of small hematomas conservative: directly after a bruise — locally cold and a compressing bandage, (for prevention of development of a hematoma) and analgetics (for reduction of unpleasant pains), and in several days after an injury — physiotherapeutic procedures (for acceleration of a rassasyvaniye). At big hematomas evacuation of liquid blood by a puncture with the subsequent imposing of a compressing bandage is shown. In case of resuming of bleeding opening of a hematoma, bandaging of the bleeding vessel or an angiorrhaphy is shown. At suppuration of hematomas its opening and drainage is shown. At uncomplicated hematomas the forecast, as a rule, favorable.
