Gangrene of a penis can be spontaneous, or idiopathic, and also a complication of a balanoposthitis, a lymphangitis, thrombophlebitis, a paraphimosis, i.e. symptomatic.
Penis Gangrene symptoms:
The disease arises suddenly, sometimes at young healthy men. There are pain, a hyperemia, hypostasis and infiltration of skin of a prepuce, balanus. Feature of a clinical current are the expressed intoxication, high temperature of a body. Weakness, oznoba, vomiting are noted. Soon, sometimes within a day, on skin of a penis dark sites appear.
Penis Gangrene reasons:
The etiology of the spontaneous gangrene reminding gangrene of a scrotum of Fournier is unknown. The bacterial flora sowed from a wound surface happens heterogeneous. Perhaps, at the same time at the patient immediately there pass stages of a balanoposthitis, a lymphangitis, phlebitis.
Treatment of Gangrene of a penis:
Treatment begins with urgent hospitalization.
Appoint antibiotics of a broad spectrum of activity in high doses, drop injections of liquids, Natrii hydrocarbonas, the desensibilizing means. Surgical tactics has to be active.
Necrotic sites of skin timely exsect. If hypostasis of a prepuce causes a paraphimosis, then it should be cut. At recovery there can be granulating, open surfaces of a penis. Further such patient make plastic surgeries on skin transplantation.
