Prednisolonum, ointment of 0,5%

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 1 g of ointment contains - Prednisolonum of 5 mg; excipients: the glycerin distilled vaseline medical, water the purified, stearic acid, emulsifier No. 1, нипагин, нипазол.

Pharmacological properties:

Renders antiinflammatory, antiallergic, anti-exudative, antipruritic action. Slows down accumulation of macrophages, leukocytes in the inflammation center, reduces permeability of capillaries, interfering with formation of hypostases. Phagocytosis, release of microsomal enzymes and mediators of an inflammation oppresses. At cutaneous use practically does not render system glucocorticoid and mineralokortikoidny effects.

Indications to use:

Seborrheal dermatitis, lupus erythematosus, erythroses, psoriasis, allergic skin diseases, eczema, circular baldness.

Route of administration and doses:

Apply outwardly, ointment is applied by 1-3 times a day a uniform thin layer on an affected area, slightly rubbing in skin. Duration of a course of treatment - no more than 14 days.

Features of use:

For the purpose of increase in efficiency of therapy use of occlusive bandages is possible.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible, especially at prolonged use (irritation and an atrophy of skin). In this case use of ointment should be stopped.

Contraindications:

Primary viral, fungal and bacterial damages of skin, tuberculosis cutis, pyoderma, cankers of skin and wound, individual hypersensitivity to drug components, pregnancy, the lactation period.
