Gastroenteritis

Description:

Gastroenteritis (from other - Greek , a genitive case   — "stomach" and  — "gut") — an inflammatory disease of a stomach and small intestine.

Gastroenteritis symptoms:

The gastroenteritis at children almost always has more serious and dangerous effects. In a consequence of vomiting and constant diarrhea the child loses a lot of liquid that can lead to dehydration of an organism and various pathologies further. Especially brightly these effects are shown in a case with children who are on artificial feeding as they are deprived of the genuine maternal milk containing the microelements protecting intestines from infections.
Vomiting develops in 80% of cases at the children who got sick with a gastroenteritis and the diarrhea develops. Body temperature at the same time can reach 38-39C. At a chair there is accurately distinguishable slime. Quite often rotaviruses adjoin to other clinical syndromes, for example, encephalitis, aseptic meningitis, pneumonia, a syndrome to Reja, a necrotic coloenteritis and a disease of Krom. It is impossible to tell that relationship of cause and effect between clinical syndromes and rotaviruses is completely proved, however the fact that diseases weaken immunity does not raise doubts and create excellent conditions for development of rotavirusny infections.
At people of an average and senior age group the gastroenteritis is shown in the form of the sudden abdominal pains which are followed by loud rumbling then the person has a nausea, a diarrhea and vomiting. The chair of usually bright yellow color, foamy, possesses a characteristic stench. Quite often the gastroenteritis causes dizziness and headaches. Body temperature at the same time can reach 38C.

At severe forms of a disease the frequency of a chair reaches 15 times a day that causes serious dehydration of an organism. Despite it, in case of the timely address to the doctor, the gastroenteritis does not cause serious effects in adults, and the probability of death in general is reduced to zero.

Gastroenteritis reasons:

At the person the gastroenteritis develops owing to food toxicoinfections (in 50% of the cases caused by existence of a norovirus), infections with bacteria, drink of substandard water, diseases (flu, pneumonia, measles, sepsis, etc.), poisonings with heavy metals, acids, alkalis, mercury drugs, etc. Proceeds in an acute and chronic form. Often is followed by defeat and a large intestine — a gastroenterocolitis.

Treatment of the Gastroenteritis:
