Metromezol-Dent

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 200 mg of metronidazole, 10 mg of a hlorgeksidin of a digluconate in 20 g of gel.

Excipients: propylene glycol, carbomer 980, dinatrium эдетат, sodium saccharin, left menthol, sodium hydroxide, the water purified.

Indications to use:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of a parodont and mucous membrane of an oral cavity:

- acute and chronic ulitis;

- acute ulcer and necrotic ulitis of Vincent;

- acute and chronic periodontal disease;

- youthful periodontal disease;

- the periodontosis complicated by an ulitis;

- aphthous stomatitis;

- cheilitis;

- an inflammation of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity when carrying prostheses;

- a post-extraction alveolitis (a hole inflammation after an odontectomy);

- periodontitis, periodontal abscess (in structure combined therapies).

Route of administration and doses:

It is applied locally. The gel dose on the site of the gingiva surrounding one tooth makes a drop of the size of a pea.

To adults and children 6 years at an inflammation of gums are more senior (ulitis) gel is applied on area of gums 2 times a day, it is not recommended to wash away gel. After putting gel it is necessary to refrain from drink and meal within 30 min. Duration of a course of treatment averages 7 - 10 days.

At a periodontal disease after removal of tooth deposits, parodontalny pockets are processed by gel and application of gel on area of gums is made. Exposure time – 30 min. The number of procedures depends on disease severity. Further the patient can conduct gel applications independently, applying gel on area of gums 2 times a day within 7-10 days.

At aphthous stomatitis gel is applied on the struck area of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity 2 times a day within 7-10 days.

For prevention of aggravations of a chronic ulitis and a periodontal disease gel is applied on area of gums by 2 times a day within 7-10 days. Preventive courses of treatment are conducted 2-3 times a year.

For prevention of a post-extraction alveolitis after an odontectomy the hole is processed by gel, then gel is applied on an outpatient basis 2-3 times a day within 7-10 days.

Features of use:

Use of gel does not replace hygienic toothbrushing therefore during a course of treatment toothbrushing has to be continued.

Side effects:

At topical administration of gel the risk of development of system by-effects is small, however can sometimes be observed: headache, allergic reactions (skin rash, itch, small tortoiseshell).

Interaction with other medicines:

At topical administration in the recommended doses of system interaction of gel with other medicines it is not revealed.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of metronidazole, hlorgeksidin, and also nitroimidazole derivatives.

Intolerance of any components which are a part of medicine.

Children's age up to 6 years.

Overdose:

It is not revealed.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use medicine after the termination of a period of validity.
