General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 1 capsule contains a ketokonazol - 0,2 g

Pharmacological properties:

Antifungal means. Has fungicidal and fungistatichny activity in relation to dermatophytes (Trichophyton spp., Epidermophyton fl., Mycosporum spp.), yeast (Candida spp., Pityrosporum spp.), gram-positive cooks (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.). The mechanism of action consists in oppression of synthesis of ergosterol and to change of lipidic structure of a membrane of mushrooms.

Indications to use:

Fungal infections of a GIT, generative organs, system mycoses. Prevention of fungal infections at patients with the increased risk of their development.

Route of administration and doses:

Adult - 200 mg a day (1 capsule). Accept during food once a day. Treatment duration at dermatomycoses - 4 weeks, at cutting herpes - 10 days, at onychomycoses - 6-12 months, at candidiasis of an oral cavity and skin - 2-3 weeks, at system mycoses - 1-2 months. If against the background of use of drug in a dose of 200 mg/days significant improvement of a state is noted, then the daily dose is increased to 400 mg. At vaginal candidiases a daily dose - 400 mg, therapy duration - 5 days. For children with body weight from 15 kg to 30 kg the daily dose makes 100 mg, to children with body weight more than 30 kg appoint the doses intended to adults. For prevention of fungal infections to children appoint 4-8 mg/kg of body weight a day. Duration of a course is defined by a clinical situation.

Side effects:

In rare instances possible nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, insanity, frustration of a dream, photophobia, parasthesia, thrombocytopenia, dieback. Very seldom - drop-out of hair, allergic reactions in the form of a small tortoiseshell, skin rash, a gynecomastia, decrease a libido, an oligospermatism, an arthralgia, fever. Besides, children have a hyperkinesia, nervousness, sleeplessness, conjunctivitis, excitement. Use of capsules at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation perhaps only if the foreseen advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to macroleads, difficult abnormal liver functions, pregnancy, feeding by a breast.
