General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: Mucaltinum of 50.0 mg.
Excipients: Natrii hydrocarbonas, tartaric acid, povidone (polyvinylpirrolidone), silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil), calcium stearate.
Pharmacological properties:
Мукалтин® represents mix of polysaccharides from a grass of a mallow medicinal, has expectorant properties. Thanks to reflex stimulation increases activity of a ciliary epithelium and a peristaltics of respiratory bronchioles in combination with strengthening of secretion of bronchial glands. Natrii hydrocarbonas liquefies a phlegm and increases bronchial secretion a little.
Indications to use:
The acute and chronic respiratory diseases which are followed by formation of the hardly separated phlegm of the increased viscosity:
- obstructive bronchitis
Route of administration and doses:
The adult to accept 1-2 tablets before meal 3-4 times a day.
To children from 6 years on 1 tablet 3 times a day, previously having dissolved a tablet in 1/3 glasses of warm water the Course of treatment usually makes 7-14 days.
Features of use:
Use during pregnancy and a lactation is possible only when the estimated advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child.
Does not influence ability to manage motor transport or potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Side effects:
- allergic reaction in the form of skin rash, an itch
Interaction with other medicines:
Мукалтин® it is possible to appoint along with other drugs used at treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.
Мукалтин® it is not necessary to apply along with the drugs containing codeine and other antibechic medicines as it complicates expectoration of the liquefied phlegm.
Contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to drug components
- peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum
- children's age up to 6 years
Overdose:
Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy.
Storage conditions:
To store in the dry, protected from light place at a temperature not above 30 °C.
To store in the place, unavailable to children!

On 10 tablets in planimetric bezjyacheykovy packaging from paper with a polymeric covering or from paper with a polyethylene covering.
Planimetric packagings place in boxes from a cardboard.
On number of packagings put the approved instructions on a medical use in each box in the state and Russian languages.
