Description:

Endocarditis — an inflammation of an internal cover of heart (endocardium).

Endocarditis symptoms:

Recognition of an endocarditis helps an echocardiographic research (reveals defeat of valves of heart and growth of bacterial clumps); at crops of blood it is possible to find the causative agent of an endocarditis and to define its sensitivity to antibiotics.

Endocarditis reasons:

Most often meets at rheumatism, is more rare at an infection (sepsis, fungal infections), at diffusion diseases of connecting fabric, intoxications (uraemia). Much more often the changed valves at the acquired and inborn heart diseases are surprised, valve prostheses.

Treatment of the Endocarditis:

Antibiotics it is long also in high doses, an immunotherapy (anti-staphylococcal plasma, anti-staphylococcal gamma globulin), immunomodulators (T-activin, Thymalinum). Apply if necessary short rates of glucocorticoid hormones (Prednisolonum), heparin, antiagregant (aspirin, kuraltit, trental), ultra-violet radiation of blood, a plasma exchange, hemosorption. At inefficiency of antibakteralny therapy of an endocarditis, the heavy, not giving in to treatment heart failure the surgical method — removal of the struck valve with the subsequent its prosthetics is possible.
