Hexosemines

Hexosemines (Xing.: aminosugar, aminodeoxysugar) – derivatives of hexoses in which one of hydroxylic groups is replaced with an amino group; many substances containing hexosemines (gamma-globulin, heparin, some hormones etc.) have high biological activity.
