Vitagerpavak

Vitagerpavak – the herpetic cultural inactivated vaccine stimulating cellular mechanisms of resistance of a human body to the herpes simplex virus (HSV) of I type and II.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – lyophilisate for preparation of solution for intradermal introduction: amorphous hydroscopic weight from light yellow till pink color (on 0,3 ml in bottles, in a cardboard pack of 5 bottles).

Active agents in 1 inoculative dose (0,2 ml): specific antigens of VPG of I type and II (respectively a strain "MOUSTACHE" and a strain of "VN") which were received by a reproduction method in culture of the intertwined cells of kidneys of the African green monkey (VERO B), are inactivated by formaldehyde and then lyophilized with addition of the sakharozo-zhelatozny environment as the stabilizer.

Excipients: Gentamycini sulfas, formaldehyde, sucrose, zhelatoza.

Indications to use

Vitagerpavak is applied to prevention of a recurrence of herpes infections, the caused VPG I and the II types.

Contraindications

• Recurrence of a herpes infection in an active stage;
• Chronic diseases in a stage of a decompensation or an aggravation;
• Any acute diseases, both an infectious, and noninfectious origin (in this case vaccination can be carried out at least 30 days later after an absolute recovery);
• Existence of malignant new growths;
• Pregnancy;
• Hypersensitivity to gentamycin or other antibacterial agents from group of aminoglycosides.

Route of administration and dosage

Vaccination is performed in medical and recreational institutions on doctor's orders and under its control. The vaccine is applied only in a remission stage: at least in 10 days after disappearance of all clinical manifestations of a herpes infection, and at an oftalmogerpesa – in 1 month.

Just before introduction Vitagerpavak dissolve 0,3 ml of sterile water for injections. For this purpose solvent by means of the syringe with a needle is added to a bottle with a vaccine, then carefully stirred up before full dissolution of lyophilisate. Ready solution has to represent opalescent liquid of color, pink or pink with a yellow shade, without visible mechanical inclusions.

Enter a vaccine vnutrikozhno into the area of an internal surface of a forearm. The single dose makes 0,2 ml.

The basis cycle of vaccination consists of 5 injections which carry out with 7-day intervals. In 7-10 days carry out a recycle according to the similar scheme.

6 months later conduct the repeated course of vaccination consisting of 2 cycles on 5 injections.

At severe forms of a herpes infection (in cases when a recurrence of a disease is celebrated every month or 1 time in 2-3 months) Vitagerpavak enter with the minimum intervals of 10 days.

Side effects

• Local reactions: short-term weak burning in the place of an injection, a dermahemia with a diameter up to 2 cm within the first days after administration of drug;
• General reactions: slight increase of body temperature (to 37,5 °C) and weakness.

More expressed local and general reactions are seldom noted or there is an aggravation of a recurrence of a herpes infection. In these cases Vitagerpavak's introduction should be suspended. It is possible to continue vaccination in 14 days after disappearance of all clinical signs of diseases and the general reaction to a vaccine.

Special instructions

Vitagerpavak in bottles with the broken integrity or marking, and also in case of discoloration of solution, non-compliance with rules of storage, the termination of a period of validity is not suitable for use.

The medical specialist has to carry out opening of a bottle, dissolution of lyophilisate and the procedure of vaccination, strictly following rules of an asepsis.

Medicinal interaction

Cases of incompatibility of Vitagerpavak with other medicines were not registered.

Terms and storage conditions

To store at a temperature of 2-8 ºС in the place, unavailable to children. Not to freeze. Transportation of drug is allowed at a temperature of 9-18 ºС, but no more than 3 days.

Period of validity – 2 years.
