Calcii chloridum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent - Calcii chloridum of 500 mg.

Excipient - water for injections to 5 ml.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacokinetics. In blood calcium is in connections and in an ionized state (the active and ionized calcium). At intravenous administration, Calcii chloridum is deposited in a bone tissue where there are about 99% of all calcium of an organism. It is brought out of an organism generally by intestines, partially – kidneys.

Pharmacodynamics. Drug fills shortage of the calcium ions necessary for transfer of nervous impulses, reductions of skeletal muscles and a muscle of heart, for formation of a bone tissue, a blood coagulation and normal activity of other bodies and systems. Calcium reduces permeability of cellular membranes and a vascular wall, prevents development of inflammatory reactions, increases resistance of an organism to infections and can strengthen phagocytosis considerably. At intravenous administration stimulates sympathetic department of the autonomic nervous system, strengthens allocation by Epinephrinum adrenal glands, has moderate diuretic effect.

Indications to use:

- hypoparathyrosis;

- the increased need for calcium (pregnancy, the lactation period, the period of the strengthened growth of an organism);

- allergic diseases (a serum disease, a small tortoiseshell, fever, an itch, a Quincke's edema) and allergic complications connected with drug intake;

- bronchial asthma, dystrophic alimentary hypostases, spasmophilia, osteomalacy, lead colicas;

- tetany;

- pulmonary tuberculosis;

- rickets;

- hyperpermeability of vessels (hemorrhagic vasculitis, radial illness);

- inflammatory and exudative processes (pneumonia, pleurisy, adnexitis, endometritis);

- hepatitis is parenchymatous, hepatitis toxic, nephrite, an eclampsia;

- paroxysmal mioplegiya;

- poisoning with magnesium salts, oxalic and fluoric acids;

- hypocalcemia;

- weakness of patrimonial activity.

Route of administration and doses:

Intravenously kapelno (slowly) and struyno (very slowly).

Kapelno enter 6 drops a minute into a vein, diluting before introduction 5-10ml 10% of solution in 100-200 ml of isotonic solution of sodium of chloride or 5% of solution of glucose. Intravenously struyno enter (within 3-5 min.) 5 ml of 10% of solution.

Use for children is possible from 1st year of life.

Single doses since 1-2 years - 1 ml, 3-4 years - 2 ml, 5-6 years - 2 ml, 7-9 years - 3 ml, 10-14 years - 3-5 ml.

The course of treatment is appointed by the doctor depending on a current and disease severity.

Features of use:

It is impossible to enter subcutaneously or intramusculary as they cause strong irritation and a necrosis of fabrics.

At intravenous administration of Calcii chloridum the feeling of heat at first in an oral cavity, and then on all body appears.

Use of drug during pregnancy and a lactation is possible.

It is necessary to abstain from potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention.

Side effects:

At introduction to a vein:

- bradycardia;

- feeling of heat, at first in an oral cavity, and then on all body;

- dermahemia of the person;

- at bystry introduction there can be a fibrillation of ventricles of heart;

- local reactions: pain and a hyperemia on the vein course.

Interaction with other medicines:

For treatment of allergic diseases combined use of Calcii chloridum and antihistaminic drugs is recommended. Slows down absorption of tetracyclines, digoxin, peroral iron preparations (the interval between their receptions has to be not less than 2 h). At a combination to tiazidovy diuretics can strengthen a hypercalcemia, reduce effect of a calcitonin at a hypercalcemia, reduces bioavailability of Phenytoinum.

Contraindications:

- hypersensitivity to drug;

- hypercalcemia;

- atherosclerosis;

- tendency to fibrinferments;

- children's age till 1 year;

- hypodermic or intramuscular introduction.

Overdose:

It is not revealed.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place protected from light, at a temperature not above 30 °C.

To store in the place, unavailable to children!

Packaging:

On 5 ml in ampoules of neutral glass, on 5 ampoules pack into a blister strip packaging. Blister strip packagings together with the approved instructions on a medical use in the state and Russian languages place in a box from a cardboard.
