General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 600 mg of diosmin.

Excipients: povidone, sodium stearate, cellulose microcrystallic krakhmalglikolit (type A), talc, magnesium.

Structure of a cover: gipromelloza, titanium dioxide (Е 171), macrogoal 6000, magnesium stearate, glycerin, ferrous oxide yellow (Е 172), ferrous oxide red (Е 172), sodium lauryl sulfate.

The Angioprotektorny drug possessing venotoniziruyushchy action improves a lymphatic drainage, improves microcirculation, improves diffusion of oxygen and perfusion in skin fabric, possesses antiinflammatory action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Angioprotektorny drug FLEBOTENZ possesses venotoniziruyushchy action (reduces distensibility of veins, дозозависимо raises their tone, reduces venous stagnation), improves a lymphatic drainage (raises a tone and frequency of reduction of lymphatic capillaries, increases their functional density, reduces lymphatic pressure), improves microcirculation (дозозависимо increases capillary resistance, reduces their permeability), reduces adhesion of leukocytes to a venous wall and their migration in paravenous fabrics, improves diffusion of oxygen and perfusion in skin fabric, possesses antiinflammatory action. Strengthens vasoconstrictive effect of adrenaline, noradrenaline, blocks development of free radicals, synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane.

Pharmacokinetics. Absorption. It is quickly soaked up from digestive tract, it is found in plasma in 2 hours after reception. Cmax in a blood plasma is reached in 5 hours after reception.

Distribution. Evenly is distributed and collects in all layers of a wall of venas cava and saphenas of the lower extremities, to a lesser extent – in kidneys, a liver, light and other fabrics. Selective accumulation of diosmin and/or its metabolites in venous vessels reaches a maximum in 9 hours after reception and remains within 96 hours.

Removal. It is removed with urine - 79%, with a stake - 11%, with bile – 2,4%.

Indications to use:

- Treatment (as a part of complex therapy) symptoms of chronic venous and lymphatic insufficiency of the lower extremities (weight, puffiness and an onychalgia, trophic disturbances);
- Treatment (as a part of complex therapy) the symptoms connected with a bad attack of hemorrhoids.

Route of administration and doses:

For intake.
- Chronic venous and lymphatic insufficiency of the lower extremities: 1 tablet a day, in the morning before a breakfast;
- Relief of symptoms of a bad attack of hemorrhoids: on 1 tablet 2-3 times a day during food.

Duration of a course of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Features of use:

Chronic venous and lymphatic insufficiency of the lower extremities. Treatment has the maximum effect at the balanced way of life: it is necessary to avoid long stay in the sun, long standing standing, increase in body weight. Foot walks and wearing special stockings are improved by blood circulation. Patients should observe strictly the additional medical measures appointed by the doctor, such as wearing compression medical jersey (golfs, stockings), compresses, a cool shower on area of the lower extremities, etc.

Bad attack of hemorrhoids. Flebotenz's appointment for a symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoidal crisis does not cancel treatment of other diseases of the proctal channel. Treatment has to be short. If symptoms pass not at once, proctologic examination has to be conducted and treatment is reconsidered.

Pregnancy and feeding by a breast. In researches on animals teratogenic effect of drug on a fruit was not revealed. Considering it, teratogenic action at use of medicine for the person is also not expected (today the substances causing malformations in the person also showed teratogenic action in researches on two animal species). In clinical practice at diosmin use teratogenecity and a fetotoksichnost still was not shown, nevertheless, observations of pregnant women, primenenyayushchy diosmin, is not enough for a complete elimination of risk. Thus, Flebotenz's use during pregnancy is possible only if the estimated advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit.

During breastfeeding use of drug is not recommended since there are no data on its allocation with breast milk.

Use for children. Flebotenz's use for children is contraindicated.

Influence on ability of control of vehicles and other difficult mechanisms. There are no data on negative influence of drug on ability to control of vehicles and other difficult mechanisms.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: dyspepsia.

From TsNS: headache.

Others: in rare instances - the allergic reactions (demanding a break in treatment), connected with hypersensitivity to drug components.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant medicinal interaction of drug Flebotenz with other medicines it is not established.

Contraindications:

- Children's and teenage age up to 18 years;
- lactation period (feedings by a breast);
- hypersensitivity to drug components.

Overdose:

Symptoms of overdose of drug are not described.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
