Producer: Arterium (Arterium) Ukraine
Code of automatic telephone exchange: A11JC
Release form: Liquid dosage forms. Oil.
General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredients: the fish oil produced from a liver of cod fishes (1 g of fish oil contains: Retinolum 350-1000 ME and ergokalitsiferol 50-100 ME). excipients.
Pharmacological properties:
Vitamin A (Retinolum), D2 vitamin (ergocalciferol), eykozapentayenovy acid, eykozatetrayenovy acid, doksageksayenovy acid is a part of Fish oil. Active ingredients of Fish oil are polyunsaturated an omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A and D2 vitamin. An omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (eykozapentayenovy acid - EPK and doksageksayenovy acid – DGK), in a significant amount the cod livers which are contained in fat, render the following biological effects: DGK is necessary for normal development of a brain, a nervous system and the child's retina; EPK is a predecessor of biologically active molecules – eicosanoids which treat thromboxane, leukotrienes, prostacyclins and prostaglandins. The eicosanoids formed of saturated arachidonic acid considerably differ on biological effect of the eicosanoids formed from an omega-3 of fatty acid (EPK). So, the thromboxane (THA2) having the expressed vasoconstrictive effect whereas at THA2 formed of EPK, this effect is almost not expressed is formed of arachidonic acid. Prostaglandins formed of arachidonic acid are much more active, than prostaglandins formed of EPK an omega-3 of fatty acids. Decrease of the activity of not specificity of inflammatory reaction at reception of enough invariable an omega-3 of fatty acids is explained by it. An omega-3 fatty acids are predecessors of some enzymes, change physical properties of cellular membranes, being included phospholipids, directly participate in process
gene transcription and in the course of an atselyation (linkng of a proteinaceous molecule with a cell membrane). At the regular use of the Fish oil containing an omega - 3 fatty acids, the level of triglycerides, cholesterol of lipoproteids of low density and lipoproteids of very low density decreases, elasticity of membranes of blood cells increases, activation of thrombocytes and a chemotaxis decreases that leads to decrease in viscosity of blood and risk of a thrombogenesis, the vasodilating effect prevails over vasoconstrictive. The specified properties improve microcirculation, especially in the vessels struck
atherosclerosis.
Indications to use:
Hypo - and avitaminosis And, diseases of eyes (a pigmental retinitis, a xerophthalmia, a gemoralopiya, a keratomalacia), system therapy of damages of skin and mucous membranes, rickets, hypotrophy, acute and chronic respiratory diseases, inflammatory and erosive damages of a digestive tract, urinary tract, acceleration of healing of wounds and merging of bone changes; prevention of development of atherosclerosis and thrombosis, recovery of a normal koaulyation after thrombosis; pregnancy and the period of a lactation (especially in northern latitudes).
Route of administration and doses:
Dose drug individually. Usually adult recommend to accept on 1 tablespoon 2-3 times a day. To children from 4 weeks age appoint 3-5 drops 2 times a day, gradually increasing a dose to ½-1 teaspoon a day.
To children till 1 year – 1 teaspoon a day; up to 6 years – on 1 teaspoon twice a day, of 7 years – on 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. During pregnancy accept on 1 teaspoon a day ( 5000 of ME). It is recommended to use drug courses (2-3 months). After 2-3 months of use it is necessary to carry out control of parameters of system of a blood coagulation and depending on this result to continue a course of treatment.
Features of use:
Through insignificant antitrombichesky activity drug should not be used the patient with hemophilia or other hemorrhagic diathesis. It is necessary to adhere to special care at reception of Fish oil to the patients applying anticoagulants (for example, warfarin). If drug is appointed courses, it is regularly necessary to carry out laboratory control of parameters of system of a blood coagulation (each 2 – 3 months). It is recommended to stop administration of drug at least in 4 days prior to operation or others
surgical interventions. Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Through antimicrobic effect of drug its use during pregnancy is possible only with the permission of the doctor and after careful assessment of ratios risk/advantage. During feeding by a breast drug can be used after consultation with the doctor. Ability to influence speed of reaction at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Use of drug does not influence ability to manage motor transport and to work with other mechanisms. Children. At use of drug for children it is necessary to adhere to the specified doses.
Side effects:
Insignificant gastric disturbances which can be facilitated a dose decline can seldom be observed. At some cases with hypersensitivity drug can cause allergic reactions in patients. At prolonged use of drug in high doses the exhaled air can smell of fish a little. Owing to anticoagulating activity of drug there can be nasal bleedings or amplify bleedings from wounds or grazes.
Interaction with other medicines:
At simultaneous use of drug with other medicines containing vitamins A and D there is a possibility of vitamin intoxication. With special care it is necessary to apply Fish oil along with the drugs influencing blood coagulation. Interaction with acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVS) can be also observed. Nasal bleedings, a hamaturia, a melena can be signs of such interactions, it is very rare – a hematemesis, a pneumorrhagia. In such cases it is recommended to stop drug use immediately.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to drug. Hemophilia. Appropriate actions of safety at use. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
Overdose:
At long use of drug there can be a drowsiness, slackness, a headache, nausea, vomiting, an ostealgia of the lower extremities, demineralization of bones.
