Pyrogenal

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: bacterial липополисахарид 50 or 100 or 150 or 200 mkg.

Excipients: cocoa butter, lanolin, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pyrogenal - an immunomodulator of a broad spectrum of activity, of which are main activation of reticuloendothelial, gipotalamo-pituitary and fibrinolitic systems.
Pyrogenal has adjuvant, desensibilizing and antiinflammatory properties, increases the general and specific resistance of an organism, influences the temperature-controlled centers of a hypothalamus.
Drug, stimulating cells of phagocytal system, activates phagocytosis, secretion of oxygen radicals, synthesis interleykina-1 (IL-1, IL-2), a factor of a necrosis of a tumor (FNOL), interferon (IFNL).
Affecting fibroblasts, interferes with collagen synthesis by fibroblasts, accelerates process of maturing of fibrocytes. Stimulates activity of hyaluronidase: provides increase in permeability of fabrics, improvement of fibrinolitic properties of blood, blood circulation recovery, interferes with formation of new and rassasyvat earlier formed dense hems and commissures, warns an obliteration of vessels, stimulates regeneration and epithelization of fabrics.
Activates function of bark of adrenal glands: has antiinflammatory effect, increases concentration of hormones in blood. Stimulates kinin system.

Pharmacokinetic properties: at administration of pyrogenal in an organism of 85-90% it is fixed on a surface of the circulating leukocytes of blood, about 10% remain in the circulating plasma and about 5% are adsorbed on membranes of erythrocytes.
After administration of drug in stage of latency (45-90 min.) the leukopenia which is replaced by the leukocytosis keeping within 24-48 hours develops. It is brought out of an organism with urine.

Indications to use:

Pyrogenal exerts impact on many bodies and systems that predetermined the wide field of use it as nonspecific means at treatment of various diseases.
Drug is intended for nonspecific therapy: chronic diseases of a liver, stricture of an urethra and ureters, chronic prostatitises and uretrit, inflammatory processes of appendages of a uterus, adhesive desease of an abdominal cavity, burn disease, venereal diseases. Drug is used for immunoprevention and immunorehabilitation at incomplete recovery after the postponed acute bacterial and viral disease.
Convenience of use of suppositories, good clinical effect at treatment of various diseases and portability by patients allow to use drug in out-patient conditions.

Route of administration and doses:

Suppositories apply pyrogenal rektalno. A single dose - one suppository a day. Administration of suppositories is made daily or every other day, depending on appointment of the doctor.
Initial single dose of 50 mkg. The maximum single dose - 200 mkg. The course of treatment makes from 12 to 15 suppositories.
Treatment according to the following scheme is recommended: 50, 50, 50, 100, 100, 100, 150, 150, 150, 200, 200, 200 mkg or individually on doctor's orders.
At use of suppositories in the form of monotherapy for immunoprevention and immunorehabilitation at incomplete recovery after the postponed acute bacterial and viral disease it is recommended to use pyrogenal on 50 or 100 mkg. Course of treatment from 5 to 10 suppositories.
Also combined use of intramuscular injections with administration of suppositories is on doctor's orders possible.

Features of use:

If at introduction in oil usually during 3-8 h there are a hyperthermia, a fever, an indisposition, then the dosage which caused similar reaction repeat in the next days (usually 1-3 days) before the reaction termination then the dose is consistently raised.

If during 6-8 h there are a hyperthermia to 39.5 °C, a strong fever, a headache, a back pain, then the dose of drug is recommended to be lowered. When using drug for a pyrotherapy the above described reactions are admissible.

With convulsive readiness drug is appointed against the background of anticonvulsant therapy.

Side effects:

Administration of suppositories usually is not followed by any reactions. At some patients perhaps only temperature increase to 37-37,6 °C and an easy indisposition.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug is compatible and is well combined with all medicines applied at treatment of the specified diseases. Increases efficiency of specific chemotherapeutic drugs in complex therapy.

Contraindications:

The patients having acute feverish diseases, to pregnant women and people with individual intolerance to drug cannot enter pyrogenal.
The compensated forms of diseases of cardiovascular system and diabetes are not contraindications to use of suppositories.

Overdose:

There are no data.

Storage conditions:

In protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature from 2 to 10 °C.
