General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredient: 875 mg of lincomycin (in the form of a cloth with lincomycin) in 25 g of ointment.
Excipients: methyl cellulose, the glycerin distilled sodium hydroxide, acid solution of hydrochloric 1 M, Natrium benzoicum, the water purified.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmakoinamika. Antimicrobic action is caused by an antibiotic lincomycin. In therapeutic doses lincomycin is effective concerning aerobic gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp), anaerobic microorganisms asporous obligatno (peptokokk, fuzobakteriya, bacteroids), causative agents of gas gangrene and tetanus.
Lincomycin in combination with the oxidized cellulose gains additional activity concerning gram-negative aerobic (enterobakteriya – Escherichia spp, the pyocyanic stick – Pseudeomonas spp) and anaerobic (Bacteroides fragilis, Prevotella melaninogenica) microorganisms and has bactericidal effect.
Expediency of use of the oxidized cellulose for treatment of purulent wounds is caused by hydrophily, haemo static action, antibacterial properties, ability to stimulate proliferation and to prolong action of medicinal components. The oxidized cellulose has the adsorptive properties, shows the nonspecific antimicrobic activity connected with the composite reactions of ion exchange which are followed by decrease or increase рН.
Change рН leads to change of permeability of a bacterial cell and at certain indicators – to denaturant effect. The oxidized cellulose and methyl cellulose allow to create an optimum wet environment for healing in a wound.
