General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: an ekonazola nitrate - 150,0 mg.
Excipients: semi-synthetic glycerides (Nowata of WILLOWS of B, Miritol 318).
Description: homogeneous suppositories, white till ochroleucous color.

Pharmacological properties:

Ekonazol – synthetic derivative an imidazole. Has local pritivogribkovy and antibacterial effect. Slows down biosynthesis of the ergosterol regulating permeability of a cell wall of microorganisms. It is easily dissolved in lipids and well gets into fabrics. It is active concerning dermatophytes of Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, drozhzhepodobny mushrooms of the sort Candida, and also Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum orbiculare) causing a chromophytosis and Corinebacterium minutissimum); some gram-positive bacteria (streptococci, staphylococcus).

Indications to use:

Vulvovaginitis, colpitis of a fungal etiology.

Route of administration and doses:

Vaginal suppository is entered deeply into a vagina, in a prone position, just before a dream within 3 days. In case of insufficient efficiency of a standard 3-day course of treatment of vaginal candidiasis its increase up to 6 days and carrying out a repeated course in 10 days is possible.

Features of use:

During periods the drug is administered intravaginalno according to the usual scheme. At vulvovaginal mycoses it is obligatory treatment and the sexual partner. Influence on ability of control of vehicles and mechanisms. Does not influence ability to manage vehicles and mechanisms.

Side effects:

At Ifenek's use it can be observed local irritation (burning sensation, an itch) or the sensitization phenomenon, and also a spasm of muscles of a basin, skin rashes and a headache. In these cases the doctor has to consider the possibility of cancellation of use of this drug and to appoint other treatment. If after use of drug there are side effects which are not specified in this information, then it is necessary to report about them to the doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinical tests and use of drug in medical practice did not reveal incompatibility or interaction with other drugs. It is recommended to inform the doctor on simultaneous treatment by other medicines.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to one of drug components. With care: pregnancy I trimester, lactation period. PREGNANCY AND the PERIOD of FEEDING by the BREAST Use of drug at pregnancy is possible only when the potential advantage for mother exceeds possible risk for a fruit. In need of use of drug in the period of a lactation it is necessary to resolve an issue of the breastfeeding termination.

Overdose:

Storage conditions:

Period of validity:  2 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging. At a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
