General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredient: 100 ml of 100% oil of seeds of pumpkin.
The complex drug containing biologically active agents received from pumpkin seeds.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. High content of tokoferol (alpha, beta, gamma, sigma isomers) and carotinoids has the expressed antioxidant effect oppressing processes of peroxide oxidation of lipids in biological membranes.
Essential phospholipids have hepatoprotective effect, recovery of a cellular membrane of hepatocytes is promoted, by its structures and functions.
Essential fatty acids participate in lipidic exchange, in regulation of exchange of cholesterol and triglycerides, in metabolism of arachidonic acid (as biochemical predecessor of prostaglandins).
Total set of pharmacological properties of biologically active agents in drug Tykveol defines his antiinflammatory and cytoprotective action at topical administration.
Tykveol improves a functional condition of biliary tract, changing chemical composition of bile, possesses easy cholagogue action, reduces the inflammatory phenomena in an epithelium of bile-excreting system.
Tykveol, having anti-androgenic properties, reduces proliferation of cells of a prostate, normalizes its function due to improvement of microcirculation and antiinflammatory action.
Pharmacokinetics. Effect of drug Tykveol is cumulative action of its components therefore carrying out kinetic observations is not possible; everything together components cannot be tracked by means of markers or bioresearches. For the same reason it is impossible to find also metabolites of drug.
Indications to use:
— herpes;
— dermatitis;
— psoriasis;
— eczema;
— burns and burn disease;
— erosion of a neck of uterus;
— diseases of a parodont.
Route of administration and doses:
At external and topical administration grease affected areas of 2-3 times/days.
At hemorrhoids and prostatitis (along with oral administration) appoint microclysters of 2 times/days.
At periodontosis appoint local applications of drug.
In gynecologic practice apply the vaginal tampons impregnated with drug in a dose of 10 ml.
Features of use:
Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Clinical data on efficiency and safety of use of Tykveol at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation are absent.
Special instructions. In case of development of side effects it is necessary to lower a drug dose.
Tykveol apply both in the form of monotherapy, and as a part of complex therapy.
Drug is compatible to any foodstuff.
At inflammatory and degenerative processes of a mucous membrane of upper parts of a GIT recommend to accept Tykveol in the form of oil, it is necessary to avoid administration of drug in the form of capsules.
Use in pediatrics. Clinical data on efficiency and safety of use of drug for children are absent.
Side effects:
From the alimentary system: seldom - dyspepsia, diarrhea.
Others: allergic reactions.
Interaction with other medicines:
Clinically significant interaction of Tykveol with other medicines it is not established.
Contraindications:
— hypersensitivity to drug components.
Overdose:
Symptoms: diarrhea.
Treatment: it is necessary to lower a drug dose.
Storage conditions:
Capsules and oil for intake should be stored in protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature from -10 °C to +25 °C. Suppositories rectal should be stored in dry, protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 5 °C. A period of validity - 2 years.
