General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: 50 mg of a dekspantenol. Excipients: anhydrous lanolin, vaseline white, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, cholesterol, methylparahydroxybenzoate and пропилпарагидроксибензоат, the water purified.
Pharmacological properties:
Dekspantenol — derivative pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid — water-soluble vitamin of group B — is a component of a coenzyme of A. Stimuliruyet regeneration of skin, normalizes cellular metabolism, increases durability of collagenic fibers. Increase in need for pantothenic acid is observed at damage of an integument or fabrics, and its shortcoming can be filled with mastny use of D-panthenol. The optimum molecular weight, hydrophily and a low-polarity do possible its penetration into all layers of skin. Has the regenerating, weak antiinflammatory effect.
Indications to use:
The disturbances of integrity of an integument caused by mechanical, chemical, thermal factors or after surgical interventions: burns of various origin (including solar); scratches, grazes, wounds, decubituses, badly beginning to live skin transplants, aseptic postoperative wounds. Inflammatory processes on skin, dermatitis, furuncles, trophic ulcers of the lower extremities, care of skin around trakheosty, gastrostomies and kolosty. Treatment and prevention of effects of an adverse effect on skin of environmental factors (cold, wind, dampness). At children — at a diaper dermatitis, scratches and insignificant irritation after influence of the sun, ultraviolet and x-ray emission, for treatment and prevention of an intertrigo. Cracks and inflammations of nipples of mammary glands at the feeding mothers. It is applied also to processing of dry skin as a source of neutral fats and a dekspantenol.
Route of administration and doses:
Ointment is applied by 2-4 times a day (in need of a thicket). It is applied with a thin layer on an affected area of skin, slightly rubbing. In case of drawing on the infected surface of skin, it should be processed previously any antiseptic agent. To the feeding mothers to grease the surface of a nipple with ointment after each feeding by a breast. To babies apply ointment after each change of linen or a hydrotherapeutic procedure.
Features of use:
Only for external use. Not to apply on the becoming wet wounds.
Side effects:
By-effects develop exclusively seldom. Slightly expressed allergic reactions are possible.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to one of drug components.
