Panthenol

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 100 mg of a dekspantenol in 1 tablet.

Excipients: silicon dioxide, sucrose, sodium saccharin, gelatin, potato starch, глицерол 85%, talc, magnesium stearate, Lemon fragrance.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Декспантенол / panthenol – a spirit analog of pantothenic acid which in the course of metabolism in an organism provides the same biological effects, as well as pantothenic acid. Panthenol and pantothenic acid, and also their anhydrous salts are anhydrous vitamins which play an important role in processes of acetylation and oxidation, participates in carbohydrate, fatty and power exchanges as coenzyme A. In the course of a metabolism enters interaction with group vitamins V. Dekspantenol participates in education and functioning of epithelial fabric, has weak antiinflammatory effect, reduces an itch.

Pharmacokinetics. Biological availability of the pantothenic acid coming to an organism together with food makes more than 50%. Transportation of pantothenic acid in an organism by formation of bonds with proteins of plasma. About 70% of the pantothenic acid which arrived in not changed look are removed with urine, the rest – with a stake.

Indications to use:

In complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and a throat. Treatment of the states connected with deficit of pantothenic acid which cannot be eliminated by means of a diet (for example, elimination of deficit at the patients who are on chronic dialysis)

Route of administration and doses:

In complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of mucous membranes of an oral cavity and a throat: 1 tablet 3 times a day, a tablet of Panthenol it is necessary to rassosat slowly in a mouth.

For elimination of deficit of pantothenic acid: the adult – 1 tablet of Panthenol a day that corresponds to 100 mg of a dekspantenol, inside, washing down with liquid, irrespective of meal.

Duration of use depends on the course of a disease and is defined by the doctor individually.

Features of use:

Information for patients with a diabetes mellitus. 1 tablet contains less than 0,03 grain G (GG).

Special cautions. With обережнісю to accept to patients with a chronic liver failure, and also with chronic renal недостатнісю as the main way of removal of drug from a human body – a kidney.
