General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: minoxidil; 1 ml of lotion contains a minoksidil of 20 mg;

excipients: ethanol of 96%, propylene glycol, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Minoksidil is a strong peripheral vazodilatator which influences smooth muscles of blood vessels. When drawing on head skin minoksidit stimulates a growth recovery of hair at patients with an alopecia on men's type. The mechanism of an intensification of growth of hair is in what at topical administration minoksidit promotes strengthening of blood circulation in head skin, to improvement of providing with nutrients that the follicle leads to recovery atrophied hair.

Growth of hair is usually observed after 2-4 months of therapy.

At topical administration of lotion through the unimpaired head skin the insignificant quantity of a minoksidil is soaked up (to 4,5%). Absorption of a minoksidil by skin amplifies at increase in a dosage, frequency or the surface of use of lotion. Metabolism of the absorbed minoksidil happens in a liver, allocation of a minoksidil and its metabolites - mainly through kidneys. Lotion Pilfud Bosnalek is intended only for external use to men and women there are from 18 to 65 years.

Using the injektor enclosed in packaging to put on 1 ml of lotion Pilfud Bosnalek 2% for dry skin in a baldness zone 2 times a day and it is easy to rub from the center to the periphery of the site. The daily dose should not exceed 2 ml of lotion. After achievement of clinical improvement the dose can be reduced to supporting - 1 ml of lotion 1-2 times a week.

Duration of therapy depends on its results, usually the course makes 4 months.

Side effects:

Minoksidil at topical administration is usually well had. Such side reactions in an injection site are in some cases possible: contact dermatitis, a diffusion hypertrichosis, a xeroderma, local reddening, an itch, allergic skin reactions, irritation of skin with the advent of an acne, a local photosensitization, strengthening of a hair loss, discoloration and textures of hair, a head skin dyschromia.

System side effects arise in rare instances (usually at disturbance of the mode of dosing or when drawing on a big surface) and include: a headache, dizziness, a lowering of arterial pressure, tachycardia, the hypostases caused by a delay of sodium and water, sexual dysfunction, decrease in visual acuity.

Interaction with other medicines:

Simultaneous use of drug Pilfud Bosnalek and other drugs for topical administration, the containing corticosteroids, третионин, дитранол or vaseline, can strengthen absorption of a minoksidil. Strengthening of orthostatic hypotension at absorption of a minoksidil at patients who accept гуанетидин though clinically it is not confirmed is possible.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to components of drug, a head skin disease (including psoriasis and sunblisters), simultaneous use on head skin of other drugs for topical administration; pheochromocytoma, arterial hypertension, period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast; age of the patient less than 18 or more 65 years.

Overdose:

Overdose cases at topical administration of lotion Pilfud Bosnalek 2% are not described.

Accidental hit of lotion in a digestive tract can cause the system effects caused by vasodilating action of a minoksidil. It can be the cardiovascular disturbances which are followed by arterial hypotension, a delay of liquid and tachycardia.

At tachycardia beta-blockers are appointed. For correction of a delay of liquid diuretics. Arterial hypotension is possible it is treated by intravenous administration of normal saline solution.

Storage conditions:
