General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 500 mg of paracetamol and 65 mg of caffeine.

Pharmacological properties:

Paracetamol – anesthetic and febrifugal medicine without antiinflammatory action; has good tolerance from digestive tract, it can be accepted as adults, so children. The mechanism of effect of paracetamol, most likely, is based on suppression of synthesis of prostaglandins, paracetamol works in the central nervous system. Does not exert impact on the content of glucose in blood therefore diabetics can accept it. At reception in a dose no more than 2 g a day or at short-term reception do not exert impact on a blood coagulation, on the level of uric acid and on its allocation in urine. Caffeine increases the anesthetizing effect of paracetamol, stimulates the central nervous system, and so can lower feeling of fatigue which often accompanies pain.

Indications to use:

Treatment of pain from moderated to so-so strong: a headache, including migraine, a dentagra, neuralgia of a different etiology, menstrual pains, rheumatic pains (mainly at an osteoarthrosis), a dorsodynia, muscles, joints, a pharyngalgia at flu and an acute inflammation of upper respiratory tracts. Drug at the same time works as an antipyretic.

Route of administration and doses:

Adults: 1–2 tablets if necessary to 4 receptions a day, with a break not less than 4 hours. 1 tablet for persons with the body weight of 34-60 kg is recommended, 2 tablets for persons with body weight is higher than 60 kg. Children's age of 12-15 years: on 1 tablet it is no more than 3 raz in days, with a break not less than 6 hours.

Features of use:

At paracetamol reception by patients with changes of hepatic functions, and at patients, it is long accepting the raised paracetamol doses, it is recommended to carry out regular control of hepatic tests. At treatment and a concomitant use of the raised doses of paracetamol it is necessary to carry out by peroral anticoagulants control of a prothrombin time (MNO). During treatment it is forbidden to take alcoholic beverages. Paracetamol can have gepatotoksichny effect already in doses higher than 6-8 g a day. Drug should not be accepted in the 1st trimester of pregnancy, in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters it is necessary to take into account a ratio between possible risk and advantage of therapy. If drug is accepted occasionally and is only short-term, breastfeeding should not be stopped.

Side effects:

Side effects of paracetamol meet at observance of therapeutic doses seldom. Very seldom can appear: the hypersensitivity which is shown rash, a bronchospasm, hemopoiesis disturbances. Treat the most frequent side effects of caffeine: nausea, sleep disorders, concern.

Interaction with other medicines:

Speed of absorption of paracetamol increase Metoclopramidum or домперидон, reduces холестирамин. At constant daily long reception of paracetamol the anticoagulative effect of warfarin and other coumarinic drugs, and also risk of development of bleeding can increase. Hepatotoxic substances can raise a possibility of accumulation and overdose of paracetamol. Paracetamol increases the level of acetylsalicylic acid and chloramphenicol in a blood plasma. Inductors of microsomal enzymes (the rifampicin, phenobarbital, a St. John's Wort which is made a hole) can increase toxicity of paracetamol.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to active ingredients, a heavy liver failure, an acute hepatitis, heavy hemolitic anemia, children aged up to 12 years.

Overdose:

There are no data on overdose.

Storage conditions:

To store in the unavailable place for children at air temperature not above 25 °C.
