General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: Samprosta substance in terms of 20% the content of water-soluble peptides - 100 mg, a lomefloksatsin a hydrochloride of 400 mg Excipient the Basis for suppositories: solid fat (витепсол) - enough for receiving suppository weighing 2,25 g.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug Vitaprost® Plus has antimicrobic and antiinflammatory properties. Lomefloksatsin – a microbicide of a broad spectrum of activity from group of ftorkhinolon. Influences bacterial DNK-girazu enzyme, the providing superspiralling, forms a complex with its tetramer (A2B2 giraza subunit) and breaks a transcription and DNA replication, leads to death of a microbic cell. It is highly active concerning gram-negative aerobic microorganisms: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitides, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter diversus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter cloacae, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Moraxella morganii, Haemophilus influenzae e parainfluenzae, Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Are moderately sensitive to the drug Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus Epidermidis, Serratia liquifaciens, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Chlamydia trachomatis, Hafnia alvei, Citrobacter freundii, Aeromonas hydrophila, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus stuartii, Providencia rettgeri, Providencia alcalifaciens, Klebsiella oxytoca, Klebsiella ozaenae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter agglomerans. Are steady against the drug Streptococcus spp., Pseudomonas cepacia, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Treponema pallidum, Mycoplasma hominis and anaerobic bacteria. Affects the majority of microorganisms in low concentration (the concentration necessary for suppression of height of 90% of strains, usually no more than 1 mkg/ml). Resistance develops seldom. Prostates extract possesses organotropic action on a prostate. Reduces degree of hypostasis, leukocytic infiltration of a prostate, normalizes secretory function of epithelial cells, increases number of lecithin grains in a secret of an acinus, stimulates a muscle tone of a bladder. Reduces a thrombogenesis, has antiagregantny activity, interferes with development of thrombosis of venules in a prostate. Normalizes parameters of a prostate and an ejaculate. Reduces pain and discomfort, improves copulative function.

Indications to use:

The acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis caused by sensitive microorganisms, including which is followed by inflammatory diseases of an urinogenital path. States before an operative measure on a prostate.

Route of administration and doses:

Rektalno, on 1 suppository once a day after an enema or independent bowel emptying. Before use suppository should be extracted from a blister strip packaging. After administration of the drug Vitaprost® Plus it is desirable to be within 30-40 minutes in a bed. The course of treatment proceeds before disappearance of the activator in a secret of a prostate and makes from 10 to 30 days (duration of treatment is defined by the doctor individually for each patient).

Features of use:

At cirrhosis correction of the mode of dosing is not required (on condition of normal function of kidneys). During treatment it is necessary to avoid long impact of a sunlight and use of artificial ultra-violet lighting. At the first signs of a photosensitization (increase in sensitivity of skin, a burn, a hyperemia, hypostasis, emergence of blisters, rashes, an itch, dermatitis), hypersensitivity, manifestations of a neurotoxicity (excitement, spasms, a tremor, a photophobia, confusion of consciousness, toxic psychoses, hallucinations) it is necessary to stop therapy. During treatment it is necessary to be careful during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Side effects of the drug Vitaprost® Plus are connected with existence in its structure of an antibiotic ломефлоксацин.

Allergic reactions: skin itch, small tortoiseshell, photosensitization, malignant exudative erythema (Stephen-Johnson's syndrome).

From a nervous system: adynamy, dizziness, nervousness, uneasiness.

From the alimentary system: pseudomembranous coloenteritis, dysbacteriosis, increase in activity of "hepatic" transaminases.

From bodies of a hemopoiesis and system of a hemostasis: bleedings from bodies of digestive tract, thrombocytopenia, increase in a fibrinolysis, a limfoadenopatiya.

From cardiovascular system: lowering of arterial pressure, disturbance of a rhythm, myocardiopathy. Substance of Samprost (a prostate extract) extremely seldom causes allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Increases activity of peroral anticoagulants and increases toxicity of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The medicines blocking canalicular secretion slow down drug removal. There is no cross stability with penicillin, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, co-trimoxazole, metronidazole.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Age up to 18 years (the period of formation and growth of a skeleton).

With care: Cerebral atherosclerosis, epilepsy and other diseases of the central nervous system with an epileptic syndrome.
