General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: итраконазол (in spherical microgranules pellets) 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Antifungal means derivative of triazole. The mechanism of action is connected with ability to inhibit P450 cytochrome - dependent enzymes of sensitive mushrooms that leads to disturbance of synthesis of ergosterol of a cell wall of a mushroom. Possesses wider range of antifungal action, than кетоконазол. It is active concerning Aspergillus spp., Blastomyces dermatitidis, Candida, Coccidioides immitis, Cryptococcus neoformans, Epidermophyton, Microsporum, Trichophyton, Histoplasma capsulatum, Malassezia furfur, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, Sporothrix schenckii.

Pharmacokinetics. Therapeutic concentration in skin remain within 2-4 weeks after the termination of a 4 weeks course of treatment. Itrakonazol is defined in a keratin of nails in a week after an initiation of treatment and remains within 6 months after the termination of a 3-month course of therapy.

Indications to use:

Vulvovaginal candidiasis, mycoses of skin, oral cavity, an eye, the onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes and/or yeast, system mycoses (including a system aspergillosis, candidiasis, a cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, a sporotrichosis, a paracoccidioidosis, a zymonematosis and others, seldom found system and tropical mycoses).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside on 100 mg of 1 time/days or on 200 mg of 1-2 times/days, duration of treatment depends on a disease etiology.

Features of use:

It is not necessary to apply at patients with symptoms of ventricular dysfunction and instructions in the anamnesis on congestive heart failure.

It is not necessary to apply итраконазол at patients with liver diseases. However in emergency cases at cirrhosis and/or a renal failure treatment itrakonazoly is carried out under control of its level in plasma and with the corresponding dose adjustment.

At increase in activity of transaminases of a liver итраконазол apply in cases when the expected advantage of therapy exceeds possible risk of damage of a liver.

In case of use of an itrakonazol more than 1 month control of function of a liver is necessary.

At development against the background of treatment of symptoms of heart failure, abnormal liver functions, the peripheral neuropathy итраконазол should cancel.

With care apply итраконазол at hypersensitivity to other derivatives of an azol.

Use in pediatrics
Now there are not enough data on use of an itrakonazol for children.

Side effects:

Co of the party of the alimentary system: abdominal pains, nausea, vomiting, lock, increase in activity of enzymes of a liver, cholestatic jaundice; in some cases - hepatitis.
From TsNS and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness; in some cases - a peripheral neuropathy.

Interaction with other medicines:

The means causing induction of enzymes of a liver (rifampicin, Phenytoinum) can reduce concentration of an itrakonazol in plasma.

At simultaneous use with drugs which reduce acidity of a gastric juice (including m-holinoblokatory, antiacid means, blockers histamine H2 receptors) reduction of absorption of an itrakonazol is possible.

At simultaneous use with drugs which metabolism is carried out with the participation of CYP3A isoenzymes increase in intensity and/or duration of their effects is possible. Contraindications:
