General characteristics. Structure:

Acting substances: magnesium of asparaginate of tetrahydrate, potassium of asparaginate of a gemigidrat; excipients: potato starch, talc that corresponds magnesium to asparaginate to tetrahydrate of 175 mg, potassium to asparaginate a gemigidrata of 175 mg. Excipients: stearate calcium monohydrate, коповидон (Kollidon VA-64).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The asparkam is a source of potassium ions and magnesium, regulates metabolic processes. The mechanism of action is presumably connected with an asparaginate role as carrier of ions of magnesium and potassium in intracellular space and participation of asparaginate in metabolic processes. Thus, the asparkam eliminates an imbalance of electrolytes, lowers excitability and conductivity of a myocardium (moderate antiarrhytmic effect).

Pharmacokinetics. It is easily soaked up at intake and rather quickly removed by kidneys.

Indications to use:

The asparkam is applied in complex therapy at heart failure, coronary heart disease, a hypopotassemia, disturbances of a cordial rhythm (including at a myocardial infarction, overdose of cardiac glycosides).

Route of administration and doses:

The asparkam is appointed inside after food. Appoint usually adult on 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. A course of treatment – 3-4 weeks. If necessary the course is repeated.

Side effects:

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, unpleasant feelings or burning in pancreatic area (at patients with anacid gastritis or cholecystitis), an atrioventricular block, paradoxical reaction (increase in number of extrasystoles), a hyperpotassemia (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, parasthesias), a gipermagniyemiya are possible (face reddening, feeling of thirst, a lowering of arterial pressure, a hyporeflexia, respiratory depression, spasms).

Interaction with other medicines:

Pharmakodinamicheskoye: combined use with kaliysberegayushchy diuretics (Triamterenum, Spironolactonum), beta adrenoblockers, cyclosporine, heparin, inhibitors of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs increases risk of development of a hyperpotassemia up to development of arrhythmia and an asystolia. Use of drugs of potassium together with glucocorticosteroids eliminates the hypopotassemia caused by the last. Under the influence of potassium undesirable effects of cardiac glycosides decrease. Magnesium reduces effect of Neomycinum, polymyxin B, tetracycline and streptomycin. Anesthetics increase the oppressing effect of drugs of magnesium by the central nervous system; at simultaneous use with atrakuroniy, dekametoniy, suktsinilkhloridy and succinylcholine strengthening of neuromuscular blockade is possible; calcitriol increases the content of magnesium in a blood plasma, drugs of calcium reduce effect of drugs of magnesium. Strengthens negative dromo-and bathmotropic effect of antiarrhytmic means.

Pharmacokinetic: the knitting and enveloping means reduce absorption of drug in digestive tract.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug, disturbance of exchange of amino acids, arterial hypotension, an acute and chronic renal failure, a hyperpotassemia, a gipermagniyemiya, disturbance of atrioventricular conductivity (AV I-III of degree), a heavy myasthenia, an acute metabolic acidosis, dehydration (эксикоз), hemolysis, Addison's disease, an oliguria, an anury. With care: pregnancy (especially 1 trimester), the lactation period, a hypophosphatemia, the urolithic diathesis (connected with disturbance of exchange of calcium, magnesium and ammonium of phosphate).

Overdose:

Symptoms: hyperpotassemia, gipermagniyemiya. Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

In the dry place at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Tablets. On 10 tablets in planimetric strip or bezjyacheykovy packaging. On 2 or 3 blister strip packagings together with the application instruction place in a pack. It is allowed to stack blister strip packagings with the equal number of application instructions in a box from a cardboard bandbox. Planimetric bezjyacheykovy packagings with the equal number of application instructions stack in a box from a cardboard bandbox.
