Description:
Heart, as well as at any other body of our organism, has tumors too. Heart tumors very rare disease, but they take the place, among all diseases of cordial vascular system.
The rarity of cardiac tumors is explained by the fact that heart as any other body of our organism, is well supplied with blood.
Its main function – to be reduced, carry out a role of "pump" in an organism which constantly pumps over through itself(himself) large volumes of blood. Blood in heart never stagnates and is constantly updated that is its advantage over other bodies. In heart quickly there is a metabolism that considerably reduces its chances of development of tumors.
Reasons of tumors of heart:
Origins of tumors of heart are not established.
Symptoms of tumors of heart:
Classification of tumors of heart.
Distinguish primary and secondary tumors of heart. They are, both high-quality, and malignant.
Primary tumors develop independently. Secondary tumors of heart are metastasises of lung cancer, a mammary gland, stomach and kidneys. They meet by 20 times more often than primary. It is explained by bigger prevalence of diseases of cancer of other bodies and frequency of their innidiation.
Benign tumors meet twice more often than malignant. Tumors of heart are treated in the surgical way if for any reasons it is not possible, the chemotherapy is carried out.
Primary tumors of heart.
Benign tumors of heart.
• A myxoma (a tumor in cardial cavities – the most widespread tumor of heart, meets in 50% a case of all tumors of heart).
• A rhabdomyoma (a tumor from muscular tissue of heart).
• Fibroma (a tumor from fibrous, cicatricial tissue of heart).
• Hemangioma (vascular tumor of heart).
• Lipoma (fatty tumor of heart).
• Teratoma (heart cyst).
Malignant tumors of heart
• Sarcoma.
• Lymphoma.
Heart tumor symptoms
Displays of a tumor of heart, are very similar to symptoms of the most widespread heart diseases and therefore, they long time exist in an organism under "someone else's mask".
The patient can have long time not considerable increase of body temperature, weakness, a joint pain, decrease in body weight, numbness of fingers of hands that is quite frequent and the long time fools doctors "" confusing, at statement of the correct diagnosis because such symptoms are inherent in many other heart diseases.
Complaints depend on in what department of heart the tumor is located.
If it is in more thickly cardiac muscle, there can be various disturbances of a heart rhythm – arrhythmia, and later heart increases in sizes and heart failure which is shown by an asthma, weakness, hypostases standing and accumulation of liquid in lungs develops.
Tumors can imitate heart diseases and be shown by weakness, decrease in portability of exercise stresses, bystry fatigue, an asthma, dizziness and faints.
At germination of a tumor in cardial cavities, its sokratitelny ability decreases and heart failure with attacks of cardiac asthma (suffocation) develops. At the same time the condition of the patient sharply worsens.
Diagnosis of tumors of heart:
When listening (auscultation) of heart, there is a noise connected with change of position of a body.
The ECG (electrocardiogram), allows to find signs of increase in auricles, to define disturbance of a rhythm which can be "product" of a cardiac tumor.
X-ray analysis of bodies of a thorax. On X-ray increase in the sizes of heart is defined.
EHOKG (echocardiography) or ultrasonography of heart, gives the chance to see a tumor, to define its location, to specify to what wall of heart her leg is attached and to estimate the tumor sizes.
Treatment of tumors of heart:
Only surgical. Operation is performed at once after diagnosis. The tumor is deleted together with a leg and surrounding tissues of heart, the place of defect is taken in. If a major defect, impose special "patch".
