Дикловит® gel

General characteristics. Structure:

In 100 g of gel contains: diclofenac sodium – 1 g, excipients (lactic acid of 40%, isopropyl alcohol, alcohol of ethyl 95%, sodium pyrosulphate technical, карбопол (carbomer), 2,2I, 2II-nitrilotrietanol, the water purified) - to 100 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Дикловит® gel has the local antiinflammatory and anesthetizing effect. Oppressing TsOG I and II, breaks metabolism of arachidonic acid, reduces amount of prostaglandins in the inflammation center. The aqueous-alcoholic basis of gel in addition has mestnoanesteziruyushchy effect. At topical administration causes easing or disappearance of pains in a site of application of gel, joint pains at rest and at the movement, reduces morning constraint and a swelling of joints. Promotes increase in volume of movements in the affected joints.

Indications to use:

Drug is used at inflammatory and degenerative diseases of a musculoskeletal system (the pseudorheumatism ankylosing a spondylitis, psoriasis, juvenile, acute and chronic gouty arthritis); rheumatic defeat of soft tissues; posttraumatic pain syndromes (traumatic bruises, sprains, muscles and sinews); morbidities of the muscles and joints caused by heavy exercise stresses; lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. A small amount of gel of 2-4 g (a strip of gel of 1-2 cm) is applied by 2-3 times a day with a thin layer on skin over the center of an inflammation and slightly rub before full absorption. Duration of a course of treatment drug should not exceed 14 days; extension of a course of treatment perhaps after consultation with the doctor. After putting gel it is necessary to wash up hands.

Side effects:

The arising side effects depend on individual sensitivity, size of the applied dose and duration of treatment. Allergic reactions from skin (an itch, skin rash, burning, a hyperemia) are possible. At prolonged use and/or drawing on extensive surfaces – system side effects owing to resorptive action (generalized skin rash, a bronchospasm, a Quincke's disease, a photosensitization). At emergence of any side effects it is necessary to stop use of gel and to see a doctor.

Contraindications:

Use of drug is contraindicated: at hypersensitivity to diclofenac, aspirin or other NPVS; at disturbance of a hemopoiesis at a peptic ulcer of a stomach and/or duodenum in an aggravation phase; during pregnancy, a lactation at children's age (up to 6 years); at disturbance of integrity of integuments. With care apply at the induced acute hepatic porphyria, disturbance of functions of kidneys and a liver, heart failure.
