Abdominal migraine


Description:


Abdominal migraine – a disease, with the characteristic diffuse pristupoobrazny abdominal pain which is combined with clonic myotonia of a front abdominal wall.

The abdominal pain at abdominal migraine most often occurs at children and young men, however quite often comes to light also at adults.


Symptoms of abdominal migraine:


Pain has intensive, diffusion character, but can be sometimes localized in a navel, be followed by nausea, vomiting, a diarrhea, blanching and a cold snap of extremities. The vegetative accompanying manifestations can vary from not rough, moderately expressed to bright vegetative crises. Duration of pains fluctuates of half an hour till several o'clock or even several days. Various combinations to a migrenozny cephalalgia are possible: simultaneous emergence of abdominal and tsefalgichesky pain, their alternation, domination of one of forms at their simultaneous presence.


Diagnosis:


At diagnosis it is necessary to consider the following factors: communication of abdominal pain with a headache of migrenozny character, the characteristic of migraine provoking and accompanying factors, young age, the family anamnesis, therapeutic effect of protivomigrenozny drugs, increase in speed of a linear blood-groove in a ventral aorta at doppler sonography (especially during a paroxysm).


Treatment of abdominal migraine:


Tinctura Valerianae on 1 drop for 1 year of life, Belloidum or белласпон on a half-1 to a tablet 2-3 times a day, phenobarbital (0,005-0,075 on reception).
