Description:

Paraneoplastic syndrome (PNS) — the clinical laboratory display of a malignant tumor caused not by its local or metastatic growth, and nonspecific reactions from various bodies and systems or ectopic products a tumor of biologically active agents.  Paraneoplastic syndromes are widespread among patients of middle and advanced age, and most often develop at lung cancer, a mammary gland, ovaries, and also at a lymphoma. Sometimes symptoms of a paraneoplastic syndrome demonstrate even before diagnosis of a malignant tumor.
