Tsikloplegiya

Description:

Tsikloplegiya (Latin Cycloplegia) — paralysis of a ciliary muscle of an eye.

Tsikloplegiya's symptoms:

    * Impossibility of focusing of a look
    * Usually is followed by pupil sphincter paralysis, causing its permanent expansion (mydriasis).
If carrying out nervous impulse is broken - we have accommodation paralysis. Disturbance of carrying out nervous impulse can result from different diseases (them neuropathologists diagnose and treat), as a result of strong blow in an eye (traumatic) and as a result of use of drugs (such action atropine possesses). It is necessary to know that the ciliary muscle has an identical innervation with a pupil sphincter therefore accommodation paralysis is always followed by the maximum mydriasis. Physicians call it a mydriasis.

Accommodation paralysis by a full vision disorder in short distances is shown. Disturbance mechanism: the closest point of clear sight is removed from an eye so that merges with a further point of clear sight.

Tsikloplegiya's reasons:

Can develop also after some injuries of an eye.

Tsikloplegiya's treatment:

It is possible to compensate this state by purpose of plus points for work at a short distance. Traumatic and medicinal paralyzes of accommodation will practically not respond to treatment, it is necessary only to wait when it passes in itself. When paralysis of accommodation is a symptom of neurologic frustration, it can pass at treatment of a basic disease, treatment it is carried out by the neuropathologist.
