Syndrome of subclavial burglarizing

Description:

Syndrome of subclavial burglarizing (phenomenon of subclavial burglarizing, subclavial syndrome) — the complex of symptoms caused by a compensatory retrograde blood flow in a vertebral or internal chest artery owing to occlusion of proximal department of a subclavial artery.

Reasons of a syndrome of subclavial burglarizing:

Occlusion of proximal department of a subclavial artery can develop owing to atherosclerosis, nonspecific or specific (syphilitic) arteritis, extravasated or vascular anomalies of development (cervical edges, a syndrome of a front scalene, shift of mouths of arteries, etc.). Against the background of occlusion because of a pathological gradient of arterial pressure the retrograde blood flow develops in distal department of a subclavial artery from system of a viliziyev of a circle (by means of the right or left vertebral artery — "vertebral and subclavial burglarizing"). As a result of it, the blood stream in arteries of a brain turns out reduced what leads to cerebral ischemia up to the tranzitorny ischemic attack.

In case of the postponed mammarnokoronarny shunting development of coronary and subclavial burglarizing with development of ischemia of a myocardium is possible.

Also at patients with the postponed coronary shunting development of the combined coronary and subclavial and vertebral and subclavial burglarizing is possible.

Pathogeny of a syndrome of subclavial burglarizing

Symptoms of a syndrome of subclavial burglarizing:

1. Dizziness
2. Syncopal states, TIA
3. Neurologic deficit (deterioration in sight, hemianopsia, ataxy)
4. Muscular weakness in an extremity on the party of defeat
5. Absence or weakening of pulse on the party of defeat
6. A difference in arterial pressure on upper extremities more than 20 mm hg.

Treatment of a syndrome of subclavial burglarizing:

To expand a gleam of a vessel and to recover a blood stream in it it is possible, for example, by means of stenting.
