General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 9 g of sodium of chloride.

Excipients: water for injections to the level of sodium (Na+) – 154 mmol, chloride (Cl–) – 154 mmol. Theoretical osmolarity – 308 ¼«ß¼«½ý/l.

The saline solution applied to completion of a lack of liquid of an organism and in a complex of actions of an intensive care.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Plasma substituting means. Has disintoxication and regidratiruyushchy effect. Ions of sodium and chlorine support the corresponding osmotic pressure of a blood plasma and extracellular liquid. Isotonic solution (308 ¼Äß¼/l) fills shortage of liquid in an organism at dehydration.

Pharmacokinetics. It is quickly brought out of vascular system. Drug keeps in a vascular bed short time and very quickly passes into the intersticial sector and in cells. In 1 hour in vessels there is only about a half of the entered solution.

Indications to use:

Dehydration of various genesis, hyponatremia (nedilyutsionny), hypovolemic shock (auxiliary therapy), a metabolic acidosis with liquid loss, for maintenance of volume of plasma before operations, as solvent for various drugs.

Route of administration and doses:

In/in kapelno; п / to, rektalno, outwardly. Before introduction solution is heated to 36 — 38 °C. The dose is defined depending on loss by an organism of liquid, Na + and Cl–, and averages 1000 ml/days. At big losses of liquid and the expressed intoxication introduction to 3000 ml/days is possible. Rate of administering – 540 ml/h (180 thaws/min.); if necessary rate of administering is increased.

To children at shock dehydration (without determination of laboratory parameters) enter 20 — 30 ml/kg. Further the mode of dosing is adjusted depending on laboratory indicators. The general daily dose makes up to 6% of body weight.

Features of use:

Before dissolution of medicine in isotonic solution of sodium of chloride it is necessary to study attentively the instruction on a medical use of medicine to avoid incompatibility of medicine and solvent.

Interaction with other medicines:

Incompatibility of the main medicine and solvent.

Contraindications:

Hypernatremia, acidosis, hyperchloremia, hypopotassemia, extracellular overhydratation; intracellular dehydration; the circulator disturbances menacing with wet brain and lungs; wet brain, a fluid lungs, an acute left ventricular failure, the accompanying purpose of high doses of GKS.

With care – a renal failure, heart failure, oligo-, an anury.

Overdose:

When using big objeyom of isotonic solution emergence of hypostases, hypernatremias, hyperchloremias, hypopotassemias and hypocalcemias is possible.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from moisture and light at a temperature not above +25 °C. Freezing of drug on condition of preservation of tightness of a bottle is not a contraindication to its use. Period of validity 2 years.
