Atrophy of muscles – easing or reduction of the sizes of muscles owing to their long immovability or a nezadey-stvovannost. Even the small atrophy causes reduction of force and mobility of muscles.
Symptoms of the Atrophy of muscles:
In an onset of the illness characteristic symptoms are pathological muscular fatigue in legs at a long exercise stress (walking, run), sometimes spontaneous twitchings of muscles. Externally the increased gastrocnemius muscles attract attention. Atrophies are originally localized in proximal groups of muscles of the lower extremities, a pelvic girdle, hips and are always symmetric. Their emergence causes restriction of motive functions in legs – difficulty at rise on a ladder, a rising from a horizontal surface. Gradually gait changes.
Reasons of the Atrophy of muscles:
Atrophy – most often an effect of a neuromuscular disease or injury. However it can also arise at some exchange, endocrine diseases and a long immovability. Some atrophy of muscles is observed with age.
Without regular loading muscle fibers lose volume and are reduced in length. Noticeable reduction of the sizes of muscles, their outlines and deformation of affected areas are as a result observed.
Treatment of the Atrophy of muscles:
Treatment of a basic disease is carried out.
