Genital herpes

Description:

Genital (sexual) herpes – a sexually transmitted infection as which agent the herpes simplex virus more often than the 2nd type acts.

Reasons of Genital herpes:

Genital herpes is transmitted most often at sexual contact. At the same time the most infectious is the acute stage of a disease with clinically expressed rashes.  Quite often transfer of a virus from the infected mother to a fruit, a so-called vertical way takes place. There is a pre-natal infection of a fruit dangerous by developing of malformations, cases of abortions and the stood pregnancy.
Transfer of a virus of genital herpes perhaps in rare instances also is in the household way more likely an exception to the rules.

Symptoms of Genital herpes:

The herpes infection causes damages of skin and mucous membranes of outside and internal parts of genitals. Clinical implication of a disease is identical both at primary, and at recurrent forms. At women characteristic small bubbles can be shown in a large number on big and small vulvar lips, a clitoris, the internal surface of hips, an anus, a crotch, a groove between berries. All area of generative organs can be edematous. Owing to friction bubbles are often opened, forming extensive erosion which can be infected with a secondary bacterial flora and change a characteristic type of herpetic rashes. Depending on weight of defeats inguinal lymph nodes are involved in process. The disease is followed by rise in temperature and severe neuralgic pains. This form of a disease is often connected with periods.
Cases of primary vulvovaginitis at which on a mucous membrane of a vagina and surrounding skin characteristic bubbles appear are described. The disease is followed by fever and an adenopathy. The painful phenomena pass in 10 days.
At men herpes can arise at sexual intercourse, cases of matrimonial herpes are frequent.
Most often defeats are located in the area to a balanopreputsialny groove, is more rare on a prepuce or on a head. Bubbles are usually small, quickly burst and on the struck place there are superficial small erosion emitting transparent serous liquid. As a rule, at the same time one is observed - or a bilateral adenopathy.

Treatment of Genital herpes:

For treatment of genital herpes antiviral drugs of the systemic and systemic action are used. Drugs of group of interferon which render the expressed therapeutic effect are widely used. At the same time improvement occurs from the first days of use of drug, and terms of recovery are shortened by 3-4 times in comparison with use of other methods. At the same time at recurrent patients the remission periods are considerably extended. In addition to interferon, education stimulators in an interferon organism – interferonogena are applied.
At the moment the most widespread drug for treatment of genital herpes is the acyclovir. Its reception is prohibited in the first trimester of pregnancy because of high probability of developing of malformations of a fruit.
