Description:
Herpetic pneumonia is pneumonia of a herpesviridae etiology most of which often arises at immunnoskompromentirovanny persons.
Symptoms of Herpetic pneumonia:
Herpetic pneumonia meets seldom. The pneumonia arising at distribution of a herpetic tracheobronchitis on a parenchyma of lungs has character of necrotic bronchial pneumonia. At hematogenous dissimination of a virus at patients with herpes of the person and oral cavity or herpes of generative organs bilateral intersticial pneumonia develops.
The symptomatology is similar to a clinical picture at bacterial pneumonia - fever, weakness, cough, a stethalgia. Quite often the symptomatology is erased.
Herpetic pneumonia is often accompanied by bacterial pneumonia, fungal pneumonia or protozoan pneumonia.
Reasons of Herpetic pneumonia:
Only patients with a deep immunodeficiency are subject to it, for example, at HIV/AIDS.
Herpes virus - the etiological agent of herpetic pneumonia
Treatment of Herpetic pneumonia:
Purpose of antiviral drugs (interferon, лаферон, виферон), simpomatichesky treatment (anti-inflammatory, febrifugal, otkarkivayushchy drugs) is recommended. Among patients with the weakened immunity the lethality for lack of antiviral therapy exceeds 80%.
