Cordial drops

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 8,5 ml of Tinctura Valerianae, 8,25 ml of tincture of a motherwort, 8,25 Tincturas Crataegi on 25 ml of solution.

Excipients: ethanol.

The combined vegetable medicine having cardiotonic effect.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Pharmacological properties of medicine are caused by existence in its structure of a complex of biologically active agents which are contained in medicinal plants.

Tinctura Valerianae has the expressed sedative effect, and also spasmolytic action on smooth muscles of digestive tract.

Tinctura Crataegi has spasmolytic effect, selectively expanding vessels of heart and brain, hypotensive action, contributes to normalization of venous pressure, improves functions of vascular walls.

Tincture of a motherwort renders sedative, hypotensive, negative chronotropic and cardiotonic effect.

Indications to use:

Cordial drops are appointed at functional disturbances of action of the heart, arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, angioneuroses (neurocirculatory dystonia), a ciliary arrhythmia, a Bouveret's disease, stenocardia.

As a calmative appoint at a neurasthenia, followed by the mental and physical fatigue increased by nervous irritability, decrease in working capacity, irritability, alarm, fear, a sleep disorder. Also cordial drops are appointed at climacteric neurosis, sleeplessness, the headache caused by a nerve strain, migraines, a condition of constant mental tension.

Route of administration and doses:

The dosing mode individual depending on a state and age of the patient. A usual dose till 30-40 drops, the waters divorced in a small amount. Accept inside in 30 min. prior to food 2-3 times a day.

The therapeutic effect of medicine is shown at prolonged systematic use (2-3 weeks and more). Because of possible disturbances of the GITs functions (a valerian root) at prolonged use creation of pauses in reception is recommended 2-3 weeks.

Features of use:

At prolonged use of medicine in high doses decrease in psychomotor reactions is possible. During treatment it is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles and performance of other work which requires special attention, bystry mental and motor reactions.

At emergence of signs of oppression of TsNS (slackness, block) of a dose reduce or temporarily (for 5-7 days) cancel medicine, then give it in smaller doses.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: seldom urticaria, itch.

From the alimentary system: nausea, digestion disturbance, at prolonged use are possible locks.

From TsNS: the headache, slackness, weakness, drowsiness, oppression (especially at use in high doses), quickly stop at medicine cancellation.

Others: diuretic action, strengthening of a lactation, abortions.

Interaction with other medicines:

If you accept any other medicines, surely report about it to the doctor!

Simultaneous use from antiaritmika of the III class, with tsizapridy is not recommended.

At a combination to cardiac glycosides (strophanthin, digoxin) there is strengthening of cardiotonic action.

Reception with alkaloid salts is not recommended in connection with a possibility of formation of negative complexes.

Strengthens effect of the sedative, somnolent, anxiolytic, cardiotonic, spasmolytic, analgeziruyushchy and other medicines oppressing the central nervous system, and also similar effect of a gvayfenezin.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to medicine components, bradycardia, hypotonia.

Children aged up to 12 years.

Pregnancy, lactation period.

Overdose:

Strengthening of side effect is possible.

Treatment: medicine cancellation, if necessary carry out symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging.
