Ginkgo of Biloba

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 40 mg or 80 mg of a ginkgo of bilobed extract of leaves dry (standardized on the maintenance of ginkgoflavonglikozid (24%) and terpenlakton).

Excipients: lactose (sugar milk); starch corn; povidone (polyvinylpirrolidone 25000); sodium karbosksimetilkrakhmat (примогель); magnesium stearate; silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil); cover: Опадрай II [gipromelloz (giroksipropilmetiltsellyuloz), lactose monohydrate, crimson 4R dye (Е 124), solar yellow dye (ФД&С No. 6) (Е 110), macrogoal (polyethyleneglycol 3350), triacetin, titanium dioxide.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug of a plant origin, normalizes a metabolism in cells, rheological properties of blood and microcirculation.

Improves cerebral circulation and supply of a brain with oxygen and glucose, interferes with aggregation of erythrocytes, brakes a factor of activation of thrombocytes.

Exerts the dozozavisimy regulating impact on vascular system, stimulates development of the endoteliyzavisimy weakening factor, expands small arteries, raises a tone of veins, thereby regulating a krovenapolneniye of vessels.

Reduces permeability of a vascular wall (antiedematous effect - both at the level of a brain, and by peripheries).

Possesses antitrombotichesky action (due to stabilization of membranes of thrombocytes and erythrocytes, influence on synthesis of Pg, decrease in effect of biologically active agents and a platelet activating factor). 

Interferes with education of free radicals and peroxide oxidation of lipids of cellular membranes. 

Normalizes release, repeated absorption and a catabolism of neurotransmitters (Norepinephrinum, dopamine, acetylcholine) and their ability to connection with receptors. 

Interferes with increase in fibrinolitic activity of blood. 

Has anti-hypoxemic effect, improves a metabolism in bodies and fabrics, promotes accumulation in cells of makroerg, increase in utilization of oxygen and glucose, normalization of mediator processes in the central nervous system.

Pharmacokinetics. After reception in inside extract of a ginkgo of a terpenlaktona (гинкголид And, гинкголид In and билобалид) have high bioavailability which makes 100% (98%) for a ginkgolid And, 93% (79%) for a ginkgolid In and 72% for a bilobalid. After reception of 80 mg of extract the maximum concentration in a blood plasma make: 15 ng/ml for a ginkgolid And, 4 ng/ml for a ginkgolid In and about 12 ng/ml for a bilobalid. An elimination half-life - 3,9 h (a ginkgolida And), 7 h (гинкголид In) and 3,2 h (билобалид). Linkng with proteins of a blood plasma makes: 43% for a ginkgolid And, 47% for a ginkgolid In and 67% for a bilobalid.

Indications to use:

- distsirkulyatorny encephalopathy (a stroke, the cherepnomozgovy injury, old age) which is shown the following symptoms: decrease in attention, memory easing, decrease in mental abilities, feeling of alarm, dizziness, sonitus, sleep disorders

- disturbances of peripheric circulation and microcirculation (including arteriopatiya of the lower extremities), Reynaud's syndrome

- the neurosensory disturbances which are shown dizziness, a ring in ears, unstable gait

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, washing down with a small amount of water, irrespective of meal.

If the doctor did not appoint other mode of dosing, it is necessary to adhere to the following recommendations but to administration of drug.

For a symptomatic treatment of frustration of cerebral circulation:

Dosage of 40 mg: on 1-2 capsule 3 times a day.

Dosage of 80 mg: On 1 capsule 2 times a day.

Duration of a course of treatment - not less than 8 weeks.

At disturbances peripheral blood circulation:

Dosage of 40 mg: On 1 capsule 3 times a day or on 2 capsules 2 times a day.

Dosage of 80 mg: On 1 capsule 2 times a day.

Duration of a course of treatment - not less than 6 weeks.

At vascular or involutional pathology:

Dosage of 40 mg: On 1 capsule 3 times a day or on 2 capsules 2 times a day.

Dosage of 80 mg: On 1 capsule 2 times a day.

Duration of a course of treatment - 6-8 weeks.

If administration of drug was missed or its insufficient quantity was accepted, the subsequent its reception should be carried out as it is specified in this instruction without any changes.

Features of use:

It is not necessary to exceed the recommended drug doses. Improvement of a state is usually shown in 1 month after an initiation of treatment.

At sudden decrease in hearing or a hearing loss it is necessary to ask for medical assistance immediately. Consultation of the doctor is also necessary at frequent dizziness and a sonitus.

It is not recommended to accept drug of the Ginkgo of a bilob together with alcoholic beverages.

It is not recommended to accept drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (reddening, puffiness of skin, itch), gastrointestinal frustration (nausea, vomiting, даирея), a headache, a hearing disorder, dizziness, decrease in coagulability of blood are possible.

In case of any undesirable phenomena, administration of drug it is necessary to stop and see the attending physician.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug use is not recommended to the patients who are constantly accepting acetylsalicylic acid, anticoagulants (direct and indirect action), and also the drugs lowering coagulability of blood.

Isolated cases of bleeding at the patients who are at the same time accepting the means reducing coagulability of blood are possible; the causal relationship of these bleedings with administration of drugs of the Ginkgo bilobed is not confirmed.

At use with antihypertensives, potentiation of anti-hypertensive effect is possible.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, hypocoagulation, acute disorders of cerebral circulation, acute myocardial infarction, peptic ulcer of a stomach and 12-perstny gut, erosive gastritis, arterial hypotension, pregnancy, the lactation period, age up to 18 years. Deficit of invertase, isomaltase, intolerance of fructose, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption.

Overdose:

Now about cases of overdose it was not reported. The ginkgo of a bilob has good tolerance.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
