General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: serotonin adipate – 10 mg.

Excipients: Unithiolum – 1,5 mg, water for injections – to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Haemo static and serotonergic means. The haemo static effect of Serotonin is caused by its ability to increase aggregation of thrombocytes and firmness of capillaries, and also reduction of a bleeding time. Serotonin causes vasoconstriction of kidneys and has antidiuretic effect. Contacts serotoninovy receptors of smooth muscles of internals and normalizes its sokratitelny activity (an endogenous vazomotorika, a peristaltics). Manifestation of normalization of function of smooth muscles is stabilization of a hemodynamics, recovery motor эвакуаторной functions of digestive tract, reduction of a local hypoxia.

Pharmacokinetics. In a blood plasma it is quickly deaminized and loses the activity. Does not possess cumulative action.

Functional Intestinal Impassability (FII)
Hemorrhagic syndrome:

-  against the background of treatment by cytostatics

Route of administration and doses:

For prevention and treatment of the functional intestinal impassability (FII): intravenously in the central vein with a speed
5 – 10 mg/h, previously dissolving ampoule contents (10 mg) in 100 – 200 ml of normal saline solution. At introduction to a peripheral vein of 10 - 20 mg it is necessary to dissolve in 200 – 400 ml of normal saline solution. The maximum daily dose can reach 360 mg and above.

Intravenously: 20 – 50 mg dissolve 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride in 200 – 400 ml; enter kapelno (30 кап. / mines) 2-3 times in days to emergence or strengthening of the weakened vermicular movement and clinical manifestations of recovery motor эвакуаторной functions of digestive tract.

An initial dose –
5 mg; in the absence of side effects the dose is increased to 10 mg, to apply no more than 15 - 20 mg/days. A course of treatment – on average 10 days.

Intravenously: 5 – 10 mg of drug dissolve in 100 – 150 ml 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride or in 5 – 10 ml of 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride, with the subsequent cultivation in 100 – 150 ml of 5% of solution of a dextrose (plasma, stored blood) and enter kapelno (no more than 30 кап. / mines) no more than 2 times in days.

Intramusculary: 5 – 10 mg dissolve 0,5% of solution of lidocaine in 5 ml; enter 2 times in bucketed days not less than 4 h.

Features of use:

Interaction with other medicines:

Serotonin exponentiates effect of narcotic, somnolent and analgeziruyushchy drugs. Joint introduction with Calcium chloratum drugs is not recommended.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component of drug, a glomerulonephritis (acute and chronic), diseases of kidneys, oligo-and the anury, arterial hypertension, acute thrombosis, a Quincke's disease, bronchial asthma, diseases which are followed by hypercoagulation.

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding
At pregnancy effect of drug is not studied as drug is quickly deaminized in a blood channel. Feeding by a breast is not a contraindication for its use.

Overdose:

Symptoms: hyperemia of integuments, tachypnea.
Treatment: specific treatment is not required. It is necessary to suspend administration of drug for 5–10 min. and again to continue with a smaller speed.

Storage conditions:
