Polyoxydoñas

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: полиоксидоний® (Azoksimera bromide) - 6 mg or 12 mg

Excipients: Mannitolum, povidone, бетакаротен – to 9 mg for a dosage of 6 mg or to 18 mg for a dosage of 12 mg

Basis: cocoa beans oil – before receiving suppository weighing 1,3 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Polyoxydoñas possesses immunomodulatory action, increases resistance of an organism concerning local and generalized infections. A basis of the mechanism of immunomodulatory action of Polioksidoniya is direct influence on the englobing cells and natural killers, and also antibodyformation stimulation.
Polyoxydoñas immunity at the secondary immunodeficiency caused by various infections, injuries, burns, autoimmune diseases, malignant new growths, complications after surgeries, use of chemotherapeutic means, tsitostatik, steroid hormones recovers.
Along with immunomodulatory action, Polyoxydoñas has the expressed disintoxication and antioxidant activity, has ability to bring toxins, salts of heavy metals out of an organism, inhibits peroxide oxidation of lipids. The specified properties are defined by structure and the high-molecular nature of Polioksidoniya. Polioksidoniya's inclusion in complex therapy of oncological patients reduces intoxication against the background of himio-and radiation therapy, in most cases allows to carry out treatment without change of the scheme of standard therapy in connection with development of infectious complications and side effects (a miyelosupressiya, vomiting, diarrhea, cystitis, colitis and others).
Polioksidoniya's use against the background of secondary immunodeficiency allows to increase efficiency and to reduce treatment duration, to considerably reduce use of antibiotics, bronchial spasmolytics, glucocorticosteroids, to extend remission term.
Drug is well transferred, has no mitogenetic, polyclonal activity, antigenic properties, does not render allergenic, mutagen, embriotoksichesky, teratogenic and cancerogenic action.

PHARMACOKINETICS. Polyoxydoñas in suppositories at rectal administration has high bioavailability (not less than 70%), reaching the maximum concentration in blood in 1 hour after introduction. The semi-distribution period - about 0,5 hours, the semi-elimination period - 36,2 hours. In an organism it is hydrolyzed to oligomers which are removed preferential by kidneys. The cumulative effect is absent.

Indications to use:

At adults and children 6 years in complex therapy for correction of immune insufficiency are more senior:

• the chronic recurrent infectious and inflammatory diseases which are not giving in to standard therapy both in an aggravation stage, and in a remission stage;
• acute viral, bacterial and fungal infections;
• inflammatory diseases of an urogenital path, including urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, salpingo-oophoritis, endomyometritis, colpitis, cervicitis, tservikoz, bacterial vaginoses, including virus etiology;
• various forms of tuberculosis;
• the allergic diseases complicated by a recurrent bacterial, fungal and viral infection (including a pollinosis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis);
• a pseudorheumatism, it is long treated immunodepressants; at the complicated ORZ or a SARS the course of a disease;
• for activation of regenerator processes (fractures, burns, trophic ulcers);
• for rehabilitation it is frequent and long (more than 4-5 times a year) the ill persons;
• in process and after himio-and radiation therapy of tumors;
• for decrease нефро - and a hepatotoxic action of medicines.

In the form of monotherapy:
• for prevention of a recurrent herpes infection;
• for seasonal prevention of aggravations of the chronic centers of infections; for prevention of flu and ORZ during the preepidemic period;
• for correction of the secondary immunodeficiences arising owing to aging or influence of adverse factors.

Route of administration and doses:

Polyoxydoñas suppositories of 6 mg and 12 mg are applied rektalno and vaginalno 1 time a day. The way and the mode of dosing is defined by the doctor depending on the diagnosis, sharpness and weight of process. Polyoxydoñas it can be applied rektalno and vaginalno daily, every other day or 2 times a week.
Polyoxydoñas suppositories of 12 mg it is applied at adults rektalno on 1 suppository of 1 times a day after purgation;
at gynecologic diseases and vaginalno on 1 suppository of 1 times a day (for the night) it is entered into a vagina in a prone position.

Polyoxydoñas suppositories of 6 mg it is applied:
• at children 6 years rektalno on 1 suppository of 1 times a day after purgation are more senior;
• at adults rektalno and vaginalno as the maintenance dose on 1 suppository of 1 times a day (for the night) is entered into a vagina in a prone position.

Standard scheme of use
On 1 suppository of 6 mg or 12 mg of 1 times a day daily within 3 days, then every other day a rate of 10-20 suppositories.
If necessary the course of treatment is repeated in 3-4 months.
For patients, it is long receiving immunosuppressive therapy, oncological, having the acquired defect of immune system - the HIV which underwent radiation the maintenance therapy is shown by Polioksidony long from 2-3 months to 1 year (the adult on 12 mg, children 6 years - on 6 mg 1-2 times a week are more senior).
Versions of the recommended schemes of use as a part of complex therapy

• At chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases in an aggravation stage - according to the standard scheme, in a remission stage - on 1 suppository in 1-2 days, the general rate of 10-15 suppositories.
• At acute infectious processes and for activation of regenerator processes (fractures, burns, trophic ulcers) – daily on 1 suppository. A course of treatment – 10-15 suppositories;
• At tuberculosis – according to the standard scheme. A course of treatment – not less than 15 suppositories, are possible further use of a maintenance therapy on 2 suppositories a week a course up to 2-3 months;
• Against the background of himio-and radiation therapy of tumors - on 1 suppository daily in 2-3 days prior to the beginning of a therapy course. Further the frequency of administration of suppositories is defined by the doctor depending on portability and duration himio-and radiation therapy;
• For rehabilitation often (more than 4-5 times a year) it is also long the ill persons and at a pseudorheumatism - on 1 suppository every other day. A course of treatment – 10-15 suppositories;
• For correction of the secondary immunodeficiences including arising owing to aging - on 1 suppository of 12 mg 2 times a week. A course – not less than 10 suppositories 2-3 times a year;
In the form of monotherapy:

• For seasonal prevention of aggravations of the chronic centers of infections, for prevention of a recurrent herpes infection - every other day at adults on 6-12 mg, at children - on 6 mg. A course – 10 suppositories;
• For correction of secondary immunodeficiences, prevention of flu and ORZ - according to the standard scheme;
- At gynecologic diseases rektalno and vaginalno - according to the standard scheme.

Features of use:

It is not necessary to exceed the specified doses and duration of a course of treatment without consultation with the attending physician.

Interaction with other medicines:

Polyoxydoñas it is combined with many medicines, including it is compatible to antibiotics, antiviral, antifungal and antihistaminic drugs, glucocorticosteroids and cytostatics.

Contraindications:

Individual hypersensitivity. Pregnancy, the lactation period (clinical experience of use is absent).
